How often do you think about breathing? Probably not that often given it’s an automatic bodily function. Did you know that breathing through your nose slowly and lightly is the CORRECT way to breathe? Yet so many of us detrimentally breathe through our mouth.
Mouth breathing:
-results in less oxygen
-increases risk of respiratory illness, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, gum disease, fatigue….the list goes on.
Nose breathing:
-increases oxygen
-can improve your asthma
-reduce anxiety
-filters allergens and other particles such as bacteria and viruses in the air.
-increase lung size.
