I had surgery and opted in for the IV Optimization and it has been a game changer. This is my 2nd surgery (separate procedure) so I had a frame of reference for how terrible it feels on your first day postop. I’ve forgotten about it until a few hours after I got home from surgery and realized I’m not so groggy as I normally would feel, the pain was tolerable so much so that I didn’t struggle walking or getting around at home. I felt lively and I was in a surprisingly good mood. I was really confused why I felt good, I had to think hard to remember about the IV optimization. It made a HUGE difference. I am now on my 4th week postop and looking back I can see the difference of ease in recovery when I compare it with my first surgery recovery. Even now that the scabs have fallen and I can see how the skin is healing, it’s definitely a lot less bumpy than my first surgery scar. Of course, I know this is still going to change as time passes, but the difference is significant imo.
I think it’s worth it if given the opportunity and I highly recommend it.
