Why do type 2 diabetics become insulin dependent?
Report: why do diabetics take insulin? Type 1 diabetics take insulin as they dont have any other option. Their body practically stops producing insulin thus they have to take medications of insulin. Type 2 diabetics, however, do have other alternatives left too. Sometimes doctors jump right away into medications and do not explore any other alternatives. Insulin is not a bad drug but it has its own side effects like weight gains and occasional low blood sugar. Thus, it should be taken only when all the other methods to reverse insulin resistance fail.
