Be aware of sugar free trap
Basically, sugar free can be a scam thus you need to know what you're looking for. Sugar free can sometimes be good but it can be a deception too.
So, when you look into the nutrition table which is very important. You have to look for total carbohydrates because they get converted into sugar. This glucose will be absorbed by your intestines. You also have to look for fibre content and they should be at least 4 to 5 g. Fibres are important to compensate for carbohydrates.
So you may come across various foods that claim they're sugar free and have 0% sugar labels. But you may have up to 50g of carbohydrates per serving. Thus, you have to be very careful especially when it comes to cereals and grains. You need to look at the label and know how much total carbohydrates you're consuming.
Another thing that you need to be aware about is that sometimes, they replace the sugar with sugar alcohol or substances ending with "OL". These are also not necessarily free of carbohydrates but they are also hard to digest. These taste good when you're eating but do not digest easily.
