Our anxious pup is a new girl! We did a 5 week training program with Alex with our 2 year old mini goldendoodle. She already had general skills (sit, stay, etc.), but we wanted to work on her general obedience and her anxious/reactive behaviors with other people and dogs. Alex was so patient, knowledgeable, and helped us learn how to work with and train our dog. What we loved the most is that Alex would observe our dog's behavior, then would explain his thoughts and then model what we should do with our dog, and explain why it worked. He even brought his own dog along for a couple of sessions so our pup could work on friendly/'polite' ways to greet other dogs. He truly went above and beyond to make sure that we were successful! Alex also provided printed out sheets with step by step instructions for each 'skill' we practiced. This was huge, because it allowed us to learn and effectively practice each skill with our dog. Not only this, but he provided all sorts of materials- and was always bringing us new collars, treats, clickers, and more to try them out and find what was best for our girl. You could tell that he truly had our best interest at heart, and wanted our pup to be successful, comfortable, and confident. Going in, we were skeptical that you could train barking at strangers, shying away from others, and a lack of confidence out of a dog- but we have been proven wrong. She now will sit in other people's laps and is able to go on walks without being startled by other people on the sidewalk and barking at them. We have seen so much success- even people who didn't know she was getting training classes have mentioned to us how much better she seems. We will recommend Dog Training Elite and Alex to all our dog owner friends, and will continue to be grateful each time we take our girl for a walk!

Game changer! That’s the best way I can describe our experience with Alex at Dog Training Elite. After finishing all of my one-on-one trainings with Trainer Alex, I feel so much more confident in my ability to work with my dog’s reactivity. Alex helped me navigate my dog’s food aggression and helped me grow in my confidence around redirecting my dog and correcting unwanted behavior. My dog and I are so much happier and healthier for it! Dog training, elite helped bring out the best in my dog and taught me how to use the appropriate tools for each of these challenges.

I had a great experience with Alex as a trainer to my dog Dior. Dior is a little Yorkshire full of energy and Alex helped me to manage him and all the energy much better. Dior loves Alex and the relationship that they developed is amazing. Also, all the back up support from Dog Training was great - helping with the agenda and being flexible as needed. Thank you to our trainer, Alex for changing our lives for the better! We moved to Cincinnati back in December, and it was quite an adjustment for our two dogs (3yr & 1yr) to live in a busy apartment community. The dogs were reactive when they saw other dogs, jumped each time we had guests over, and high-stress on walks (lots of leash pulling and inattention issues). From day 1, Alex taught us unique skills to combat these issues. Alex always went above & beyond for training classes, ensuring we never felt rushed and throughly understood the materials from class. My partner and I recently moved in together. My dog and her dog did not get along very well with my dog being the main aggressor. We did 5 training sessions with Alex and couldn’t be happier.
