Keep your dog cool when it's hot outside, and learn the signs of overheating (excessive panting and drooling, cold-seeking behavior, rapid breathing, disorientation).
If your dogs seems to be overheating, try the following:
1. Move your dog to a cooler area immediately.
2. Wet them with cool (not ice) water.
3. Use a fan to help cool them down and check their temperature regularly.
4. Give them cool water to drink.
5. Overheating and heatstroke are life-threatening, so even if your dog seems to be recovering, take them to a veterinarian for monitoring and treatment.
