Engaged Doctor Home Experts to do an electrical project for me at the recommendation of my neighbor who had worked with them for various electrical projects over the years. The project was extensive (changing out the breaker box, adding new circuits, installing new plugs, and adding a new circuit especially for a future generator). I must admit I was impressed by the workmanship and professionalism of the crew that came out. The electricians, Chris and Jay, the "project manager-Luke" and the technicians came in and after reaffirming the proposed scope of the job with me, the home owner, got right to work. They did not leave the parts of my walls that they had to cut in to in disarray as other workers had done. In fact, you could hardly tell the walls had been cut into. The person I had in to float and caulk the area praised the job done by the electricians. I conclude by saying when you're seeking someone to do electrical work, consider DOCTOR Home Experts; do your due diligence and I'm sure you'll be happy with the job they do. Remember yours is the only opinion that counts in the end, but they definitely have my vote.

We recently had Doctor Home Experts install an EV charger at our home in Cypress, Texas, for our new BMW electric vehicle, and we couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish, their service was fast, reliable, and professional. Their pricing was also very reasonable, making the entire process stress-free. The technicians, Carlos and his buddy, did an exceptional job. Even though they had to work inside our home, we never felt unsafe or inconvenienced. They were courteous, respectful, and highly skilled. Kudos to them for their meticulous work and professionalism! The company kept us informed throughout the process, sending timely messages and phone calls, which we truly appreciated. Their customer service is top-notch, and their team is clearly committed to excellence. We highly recommend Doctor Home Experts to anyone needing EV charger installation or other home services. They’ve earned our trust and future business!

In agreement with the other reviews of this company being shady and ripping people off... I apparently drilled a screw through a wire in my rental unit, which is completely my fault. I called this company because I assumed I needed to fix it and that it was a fire hazard. I got a text saying a woman, "Susan" was en route. The text even had a picture. I open the door and a man, Luke, was there saying he was the electrician. If my boyfriend wouldn't have been home, I would have been very uncomfortable. Fast forward to the diagnosis. The electrician, Luke, had no saw and asked to borrow ours to cut a hole in the drywall to diagnose. After that, he proceeded to tell us the wiring was incorrectly installed and that a breaker repair would be needed along with new wiring. We were quoted almost $900 and were given a story about how much materials have gone up and how they barely make any of that, etc. I don't know anything about this issue, so I just believe and paid $455 in deposit for work to be done that Friday. I call my landlord to inform him of the incorrect wiring, and he was NOT happy. Apparently electricians are required to inform the landlord before they come into a rental unit (that was not done). He also informed me I was 100% being ripped off and taken advantage of, so I called to get my deposit back (not including the $125 dispatch/diagnosis fee because that was done). Almost a month later, I'm getting a run around of them going back and forth with how much they're sending me because the electrician claims there was work done while he was there (there was no work done). I also have been told I will be called back 3 times now (I haven't been). Now whenever I call the office, the finance lady is conveniently never in. Do not use this company. Update: 15 minutes after posting this, the office lady called and said they would be sending me a check for $250 because the electrician claims he did work and there’s nothing they can do about it. I explain to her that’s not what happened and that he cut a hole in the wall to diagnose and cut the wire because he said it was a fire hazard. She said “well we don’t know what went on in the house”, to which I replied “IIIII do because it’s the place IM renting and I was there! Matter of fact, the reason why this is even a problem is BECAUSE it’s a rental and my landlord is pissed because yall did not inform him that yall were stepping foot in the unit to do anything.” She then proceeded to continue talking telling me that that’s all she can do but they can call me back. To which I responded I don’t want to be told. I’m going to get a callback because I never get a call back. Every time I try to explain why this was not right she continued talking while I was talking to which I said “you keep talking over me.” He response was “YOU keep talking over ME!” This entire company is obviously shady, disrespectful, unprofessional, and absolutely out of line. Originally my landlord wanted to escalate the problem because they came into the rental unit without his knowledge; however, I stopped him from doing that and told him it was my fault for calling, and that I would handle it as long as I got my deposit back. Now that it’s a problem, apparently escalation is what’s going to have to happen because this is wrong.

Because I cannot respond to a review response, I am responding to the company’s response to my review from my other account. I would have thought that responding to my emails would be a priority rather than making responding to a public review a priority instead. To clarify, the quoted repairs (breaker repair and re-running wire) were not performed, which is confirmed in both the invoice and your response. The only actions taken were diagnostic access and temporary hazard mitigation. No written authorization, itemized labor, or material breakdown exists to support charges beyond the dispatch/diagnostic fee. This was also performed in a rental unit without property owner authorization, which (I now know) is against what licensed electricians are required to do under TDLR. A tenant is not required to know this. That is the licensed electricians job… to confirm authorization from the landlord. Regardless, the itemized work was not performed. The dispatch and diagnosis on my bill? Yes. Breaker repair and rewiring on my itemized invoice? No. These facts are the basis of my dispute. Please do the right thing and issue the refund check of $319.69. (This amount is the $455 I paid minus $125 and $10.69 per the 8.25% tax fee.)

Moving appliances around about to put new ones in. Blew a circuit, thought it would be routine in and out. Ended up having a whole new braker panel put in. Old one was rusted out and held together with duck tape. Dr. Joe came out around 8 and stayed until midnight putting the thing in. Man knows his stuff. Great Electrican. Great man. Came all the way down to lake jackson to get my eletricity up and running again.

DHE had reached out following me submitting a home expert referral from Home Depot, regarding replacing a light fixture (I already had the fixture and just needed it installed). They got back to me next business day, scheduled someone to come out for an estimate within a few hours of that call. Chris Lessman had come out, surveyed the hall and location of the light, provided an estimate, - at HALF the cost of one of their competitors - and got right to work as soon as I gave the go-ahead. He was very professional and courteous, showed me how to adjust the color temperature settings and everything, and cleaned up after himself. I was expecting it to turn into a multi-day affair like other company experiences, but was really pleased that he was able to get it all done in one go! Attached before/after pictures of either side to show the difference - very impressed!

THEY LIE TO ME! Do not let this company install mini splits. They do not know what they are doing. I have had nothing but trouble with them. For two months they gave me excuses about waiting gor the unit or waiting for a tech. Niw they are avoiding my calls. Terrible company.

I had a ceiling fan replaced with a chandelier. Not even Lowe’s would call me back! I called this place and they came out the next day for a free estimate (another place nearby said the would charge for the estimate and it would Not go towards the installation price!) Chris and Jesús did the work quickly and efficiently! So very happy with the results! Very friendly and professional! The installation price was better than what I’ve paid Lowe’s and Amazon before. Very reasonable. Do not hesitate to call. I would definitely trust them for future electrical work in my home.
