I haven't been to DK in 10 years, but happy to report it's still a place where you can get an amazing steak with a side in under 100$ Just don't make the same mistake as me, and start eating the steak as soon as it comes out. Let it rest a bit, it will get even better. I also forgot that if you order ribeye in US, you will get a huge piece. Highly recommended!

Ate here for the first time prior to a game at MSG. Meal was outstanding. Service was excellent. Good feel to the place. Owner were there and very friendly and welcoming. Very good dinner though. Menu had a nice variety to it with plenty of seafood options. Will be back!

This venue and meal was an absolute delight! We were treated so well from the moment we walked through the door. The service was impeccable! Kudos to our very seasoned server (I can’t remember his name but he said he’s been there over 30 years) provided plenty of information to the inquiries we had. And he was so emphatic. Just an absolute delight! And then the meal! Wow oh wow. Do me a favour and get the bacon platter. It was phenomenal! Shout out to the crew in the back for this magical plate. It was so satisfying in texture and then the sweet and salty it was just so remarkably good right through the end. We did get a ribeye tomahawk to share with their whipped mashed potatoes. It was a perfect combination. Great texture and cooked beautifully. My husband and I were so impressed and cannot wait to go back. Thank you for your remarkable food and service!

I love DKs. Been going here for 6+ years now and finally thought to write a review. The owner is always there greeting guests and the waiters are always very attentive and helpful. The food is always hot and fresh. Great steaks, seafood, appetizers, sides, wine, and a well made mixed drinks. Can't say I've ever had a bad meal there. It's not the most luxurious restaurant in the area but it might be favorite. The dining room has a very old school classy feel to it, but without feeling stuffy. Upscale casual is the best way to describe it. It's a great spot for a meal after work or before a concert / sporting event at MSG. You'll see people in business casual clothes and you'll see people wearing Rangers jerseys with their kids. There are a few private areas if you want to host a large dinner or event. Prices are very very faiir for the area.

My wife and I were vacationing in New York for her birthday and decided on DK for her birthday dinner. We were greeted at the door by Dennis who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We had drinks that were perfect (white wine for her and an Old Fashioned for me). Warm bread and butter was served. We ordered shrimp cocktail for our appetizer. The shrimp were jumbo! and perfectly done. Next we had a wedge salad, which was huge! Our waiter (forgive me, forgot his name) suggested it be served chopped which was wonderful! By the way, table service was excellent! When one course was complete, the table was cleared immediately for the next course. Next, the entree. My wife ordered the salmon with sautéed baby spinach. Perfect. I ordered the Filet Mignon medium rare. I would guess the steak was at least 10oz. and maybe more. Perfectly done and very tender! It was accompanied by cheesy potatoes which I couldn’t finish (focused on that beef)! After dinner, we ordered a slice of New York cheesecake to share, and these guys did it up right! Decorated the plate and included a candle and sang Happy Birthday and the whole dining room joined in! A perfect ending to a perfect evening. A first class operation that we look forward to visiting again on our next trip to New York. We’ll done DK!

My wife and I were in the city for an appt, and before getting back on the train home, we were looking for a nice lunch. Let me tell you what, DK Restaurant delivered!!! The food, fantasitic...from the Kitchen Salad....ok...record scratch...all you readers are probably saying, "How good can a salad be?"...it was light, fresh, and appropriately dressed....not oozing with the dressing like many other places. Plenty of salad to share for two. Next up, Baked Little Neck clams...for all my cuginis or seafood fans...Clams Orreganato...envision a rolling flavor profile from seasoned bread crumb & clam, to the garlic/lemon/olive oil sauce to then a crisp finish of parsley...every single bite with the same multitude of flavors....main courses now...my wife went with the Filet Mignon cheesesteak sandwich...she swapped the pimento cheese for American cheese...nicely portioned even if I were eating it (she couldn't finish it)...I had a special which was Veal Scallopini with marsala sauce....delectable (those not fans of veal,I get it...to each there own just scroll by)....sides of brussels w/bacon, onion rings...they are on other restaurant menus but unique in their own right at DK...wines by the glass recommended by our server Oscar, wonderful! Oscar and the service team...appropriately attentive, never too frequent, never too infrequent, knowledgeable, FANTASTIC!!! We finished things off with espresso and a little Frangelico. The decor (which maybe should be a first impression, but I wanted to talk about the food and service team first) is warm, inviting, intimate yet cozy!!! Folks....if you are in the neighborhood of W. 36th Street, you should give DK a serious consideration and a try!!! To our new friends @ DK... Sincerely, Traci and Mike from West Jersey

Hands down my favorite steakhouses in NYC. I have visited multiple times and the steaks are amazing every time. Dennis is phenomenal and always ensures everything is just right.

The worst dining experience I’ve had in NYC. Please ensure you have enough high chairs available before seating families with babies. The owner was present, and I believe he knew the high chairs were already fully occupied. Instead of being upfront, he kept giving excuses such as “the high chair might not be suitable for the baby” and “let me see what I can get for you.” For context, our baby is 9 months old, and we’ve been to many restaurants — none have ever told us their high chair was “not suitable.” Because we assumed they were genuinely arranging a high chair for us, we went ahead and ordered our food while waiting. Otherwise, we would have left. After waiting for about 15 minutes with no high chair, a waiter came and told us they had no high chairs available as they were all being used. This was confusing and frustrating, because when I went back to the owner — who had earlier promised to get us one — he suddenly managed to bring out a high chair. So why did the waiter tell us they were out of high chairs? The inconsistency and lack of honesty made us feel completely disrespected. We simply hope that next time, you show proper respect and consideration when seating customers with infants. Don’t put us in a corner, say “I’ll be right back with a chair,” and leave us holding a baby for an extended time with no proper seating. Honest communication and basic courtesy go a long way.
