Diser Construction

I have used Diser Construction for multiple dig jobs, and even finish carpentry. James, and his crew, are timely, polite, and very hard workers. In our digging jobs, they get the task done in a timely fashion, and the site looked like they were never even there when they were done. 10 out of 10 in my book. If you want a professional, and fair priced job done, I highly recommend giving them a call.

We had a septic separation emergency and James Diser came out to the house to give me a quote the same day I called. They were able to quickly fix the issue and get our house back to full working order in no time. James stayed in communication with me the whole time, did quality work, and clearly knows his stuff. Cleanup was efficient and he worked with me on what I needed for the backfill. I certainly recommend Diser Construction.

James and his team were efficient, productive, clean and professional. I had multiple quotes for companies to come blow in insulation. Diser came in at a great price and acted like professionals, respecting my home while taking timely measurements for quotation. Timely is important considering James took 20 minutes while another company took over 2 hours after the other company rescheduled twice, your time is valuable. I feel that the value I received from Diser Construction exceeded that of the value any other of the options I looked at. The actual project was done efficiently, giving me updates, and took the necessary precautions to mitigate dust from the project. They went above and beyond to ensure I didn’t have to clean up any kind of mess left behind. I did not know anyone at the company prior to them coming and quoting/installing. I feel that the recommendations provided to me by the company were honest and fair. I would and will do business with them again.

Our first experience with Diser Construction was when we had a plumbing emergency that required tearing out the dining room ceiling to get at the plumbing. The plumbing company we worked with contracted with Diser to do that part of the job. We were impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and care of our house during a very messy job. They handled the challenges of working with an older house very well and our new ceiling and ceiling fan are far nicer than what we had before. Later we decided to replace our sagging concrete and enclosed side porch (our main entrance to our house) with a deck and lean to roof, and have our outside and screen doors replaced. Though we shopped around a little, Diser was the most reasonable and responsive company (which is impressive during the Covid pandemic with all the challenges of labor and parts shortages) and we knew we were going to go with them. We are extremely pleased with the work they did. Our new porch is amazing and very well built, far beyond what I had envisioned. They also fixed the siding on our house around the open style porch area and made it seamless and match with the house, and they replaced part of our warped and cracked sidewalk leading up to the porch and smoothed it out. They did all this work in a very timely and professional manner, and always consulted with us before making any changes or additions, including giving us a variety of affordable options. I would highly recommend this company for their expertise and quality of work as well as honesty and integrity in the work they do.

I like to do my research on a company. Know that they do quality work, are professional, and stand behind the work that they do. Diser was great at communicating with me there timeline, quick to respond via email, text, or phone, and worked hard to keep our deck complete. And that's a difficult job to do when the deck and roof are attached to an all brick home! Not only did he do that job but he is also going to replace our skylight. And I can say with confidence that that job is going to go just as well as the deck remodel.

We hired Diser to install attic insulation and help us remodel our basement bathroom and add a third bedroom. They did an all-around amazing job, and we're so glad we went with them! My husband and I like to manage our own projects and do some of the work ourselves to save money, and James was willing to work around our very particular and ever-evolving (and oftentimes irritating) project schedule -- and he did so with a lot of patience and grace. We were so happy with how quickly and skillfully James and his crew demoed and prepped our bathroom, framed and drywalled our bedroom, and put in the egress window. We have an oddball little house and ran into some unforseen structural hurdles along the way, but James was able to creatively, smoothly, and quickly work through each one to ensure both our vision and the integrity of the work was not lost. During the whole process, we never felt bullied or pressured or left in the dark -- working with James and his crew was like collaborating with friends. James even took a great deal of time to give us tips and suggestions for the parts of the project we chose to do ourselves, and he never made us feel like we couldn't do it. We felt very encouraged. We really, really appreciated that. Throughout the whole project, James remained flexible, stayed in close contact, and kept us up-to-date on all the happenings. He stayed true to his word and prices (very reasonable prices at that!) and made sure we were happy with all his decisions. I trusted him and his guys so much, we felt comfortable letting them do work when we were away on vacation. James never ever once tried to upsell us -- in fact, he even talked us out of bad decisions that I now realize, looking back, would have just been terrible, terrible money pits. I really feel like that is a sign of an honest contractor. Overall, we are very pleased with the work Diser did, both in our attic and in the basement. James is a really nice, down-to-earth, and talented guy. We were actually a little sad to see him and his guys pack up and go once the project was done! We are most certainly contracting with Diser again and recommending him to everyone : )

James and his crew did a great job in installing some insulation and replacing our steps and deck entrance to the house. His recommendations were right-on and his crew were very professional in their work.
