A customer with a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado Diesel with 4500 miles on the clock was involved in an accident that was not his fault in early December. The at fault Insurance company paid a little over $16,000 to repair it. The vehicle owner asked for diminished value and was told by the adjuster they would offer $1500.00 to compensate him for his diminished value claim. The manager at the autobody center told him about DVAC. After we submitted our paperwork the adjuster came back with an offer of $4500. We spoke to the insurance company’s appraiser and after our discussion they agreed to pay him $7800.00. In other words over five times their original offer. Obviously it pays to hire a licensed Diminished Value Appraiser.
