Q: Who Can Take #FMLALeave?
A: Under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), eligible employees can take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave for:
• Their own serious health condition
• Caring for an immediate family member (spouse, parent, child) with a serious health condition
• The birth and care of a newborn
• Placement of an adoptive or foster child
To qualify, you must:
• Have worked for your employer for at least 12 months
• Have worked at least 1,250 hours in the past 12 months
• Work for an employer with 50+ employees within a 75-mile radius
