TERMITE INSPECTION EVERTON HILLS 4053
During a termite inspection at a house in Everton Hills, it was apparent to our Pest Technician he needed to investigate further.
A specialised inspection was organised with the home owner. A hole would need to be drilled into walls so minor damaged was going to occur. Also, there is an extra charge for this level of termite inspection.
Being able to drill a small hole to insert a piece of equipment called a Borescope allows the Pest Technician to conduct the inspection and not disturb the termite nest.
The Borescope is essentially an inspection camera. With its flexible tube, the Pest Technician can gain access to difficult or small spaces - the ideal place for termites!
There’s a light at the end of the insertion tube so the technician is able to capture video and still images of what is happening behind walls.
The images captured were scenes of active termites.
This information formed the basis for a termite treatment plan. Each plan is tailored for the specific termite infestation.
The termite treatment plan can take place over a number of months. Regular visits from the Pest Technician allow him to monitor what is happening with the termites.
Whilst having an annual termite inspection is an added cost to home maintenance, the cost/benefit can be significant. Add it to your annual pest inspection and there is a cost saving.
