HOW DO I PREPARE MY HOUSE FOR PEST CONTROL
There are some things you need to do both inside and outside the house to prepare for a pest control service.
On the inside, here is the list of things to do:
In the kitchen, seal all food packets and thoroughly clean all benchtops.
Remove any food such as fruit from benchtops.
Thoroughly clean all floors. Vacuum rugs and carpets. Mop all hard floor areas with hot water and a good detergent. This is to remove any insect eggs and food sources. Remember, what are crumbs to us is a banquet for insects.
If there are pet food/water dishes please empty and cover so they’re not exposed to any chemicals.
Where possible move furniture away from the walls to give the pest control technician access to all corners and areas of the house.
Outside areas:
Keep children and pets away from treatment areas until dry.
Move loose items, toys, bikes, hanging clothes, edible plants, pet water & food bowls away from exterior walls.
Remove clothing off clothes lines.
Shut windows and doors.
