Deck Medic did an excellent job helping us protect and stain our deck. Brian was easy to work with, and the price was fair. I feel confident my deck will be in good shape for years to come.

Brian’s team did a great job restoring our deck and pergola. Will use them again in the future.

No. The guy was nice enough, but really did us wrong. We had a raised deck on a new house. We needed the deck done on top and underneath. We made this very clear. We were there but needed to leave before they finished. We reminded him to do underneath the deck. He said he knew what he was doing. When we got back the bottom was not done. When I called him he said the contract I signed said they only do the top, but we specifically told him top and bottom. He was right, the contract said only the top at the bottom of the contract, so I paid him. The funny thing is, all he had to do was say he needed extra for the bottom, and I probably would have just paid it. Instead he took a top only stand on the project missing out on more pay and getting this lousy review. The top was done not standard for the cherry on top.

I called Deck Medic after being fed up with using local contractor's who paint decks as a side business. This company is fast, reliable, and did a fantastic job. I was given a quote, a booklet with colors to choose from, and told a timeline. I asked for boards to be replaced that were rotting and the crew that performed it, did an excellent job! Likewise, they power washed our deck prior to painting it, and then painted it within a week. I am happy with the speed this was all completed. I watched a neighbor hire a local person paint their deck and it took months - it maybe saved them $100? But their stairs are already peeling and it hasn't even been a year. Hire the professionals. Also, the crew, was very neat. They were careful with not getting any paint on our house and I'd left our grill on our two-tier patio - they worked around it and the crew member explained to me about working around it, and gave me tips about the longevity of keeping our patio deck looking great. I will definitely use deck medic again, for the price, verses what I paid for a "local" person, it was comparable. The crew member assured me if I noticed any imperfections to let him know and he would come back and correct it. Very kind, hardworking crew! To tell you about how busy they are -- I got on their schedule in early Fall of 2022 and they came in Spring 2023 to paint my deck, I guess the word is out about them. I suggest getting on their schedule if you want your deck painted.

Great service! Gave me an estimated time to fix my back deck and finished a week ahead of schedule. Mr.Robey and his crew worked quickly and quietly to not disturb my community. Id refer him to ANYONE that I know who's looking for some work to get done !

Great people and great job! Would definitely recommend Deck Medic of NWI and use them again. Brian came out as scheduled for an estimate and quickly provided a fair one to us for staining our 6' privacy fence with Cape Cod Gray. The crew he sent out were very polite and did a great job with power washing and staining, even coming back to address the areas where the wood took the stain unevenly. Overall, we're very happy with the stain on our fence and even happier with the service Deck Medic provided. ((Review will be updated with pictures once the rain stops))

We are extremely pleased with the work done by Deck Medic NWI. You know you’ve picked the right business when they’re booked, so be patient—it’s worth the wait! Brian came out quickly to give us a quote and was professional, knowledgeable, and fairly priced. Matt and Logan performed the job and exceeded our expectations. They took their time to ensure the stain was applied evenly and left everything spotless—no debris, no leftover stain, just a perfectly finished deck. The only suggestion I have is that it would be great if they could rope off the area once the job is complete, just as a precaution. Overall, we couldn’t be happier. Don’t waste time looking anywhere else—Deck Medic NWI is the team you want for the job!

I hadn't planned on leaving a review for this business, but I have changed my mind. Deck Medic sanded and stained our deck this summer and we could not be more sorry we went with this business to do the job. First off, the deck is 20 years old and has had numerous coats of opaque stain applied over the years, so it was a challenging project. We didn't know if it could be restained or if we were looking at the prospect of getting a new deck.We received an estimate and agreed to have the work done. Brian made it seem like it wouldn't be a problem. We waited probably 8 weeks after the estimate and they did the job in 2 days. They power washed the deck, so alot of the old stain was left behind. We were under the impression there would be more sanding and removal of the old stain. The second day, they reapplied stain and this included application over boards and railing that was obviously rotting.(we thought they'd replace those areas). There was excess stain that dripped between the boards and solidified there. There was a chipped area that wasn't stained. There were chips of paint all over the stones around the deck.( my husband cleaned alot of that up). There was over spray on the rocks around the deck. It was a mess. I brought this all to Brian's attention. He came back to inspect and cleaned up paint chips and turned over the stained rocks and said he would send the crew back to do sanding, replace a board and railing and restain the deck floor. Well, they replaced the board and rail and stained those, but it was obvious they did not do any sanding or restain the deck floor. I informed Brian we were not happy with the result but he basically said it's all they could do with our old deck. Why accept a job and let the customer think it will be done right? He never offered a discount on the job which I feel would have been appropriate. I paid in full the entire amount. We haven't even used or been on the deck this summer. The stain is all bubbled up and starting to peel. Certainly, it will be a mess in the spring.1800 bucks down the drain. We could have put that money towards a new deck. We're retired on a fixed income and don't have money to throw away. Makes me wonder if all the "good" reviews of Deck Medic are real!

Previous owner(s) of my house did a poor job of maintaining the deck by slapping on cheap paint to seal it which ended up chipping and flaking. Brian & his crew came out and repaired the boards that had rotted out and then refinished the deck. They did a good job and am happy with their work.
