Full Deck Demolition & Rebuild in Kirkland, WA 🔨🌲
When we first stepped onto this project, the plan was just to replace a few joists and give the old deck a second life. But as soon as we started demolition, it became clear — the framing was in rough shape. Rotten joists, rusted hardware, unsafe railings, and weak stairs showed us that patchwork repairs wouldn’t be enough. For long-term safety and durability, the best solution was a full rebuild.
Step by step, we carefully removed the old boards, railings, and framing. What looked fine on the surface was actually hiding years of water damage and decay. This is something we often see with decks that are 15–20+ years old here in Washington State. Even treated lumber eventually wears out from moisture, rain, and seasonal changes.
Now the demo is complete, and we’re preparing to rebuild from the ground up. The new deck will feature pressure-treated framing, composite decking (Trex/TimberTech), aluminum railings, and code-compliant footings — designed to be safe, stylish, and low-maintenance for decades.
At MoDecks, we believe a deck isn’t just lumber and nails — it’s where families gather, kids play, and memories are made. That’s why we don’t cut corners. If you’re looking for a deck builder in Kirkland, Sammamish, or Bellevue, and your old deck is showing signs of age, reach out. Sometimes replacing just a few boards isn’t enough — rebuilding the right way means peace of mind for years ahead.
