In mid-October 2024, I met with Datuk Dr. Balwinder at KMI Taman Desa Medical Centre and informed him about the issues I was experiencing with my respiratory system, specifically difficulty breathing through the left side of my nose. He conducted an examination of my nose and suggested a CT scan to get a clearer picture of the problem and to identify which areas were blocked. After the CT scan, it was found that there were blockages on both the left and right sides. He recommended surgery to address the issue and prevent it from worsening. Additionally, he provided a detailed explanation of the procedure and how the surgery would be conducted. I agreed to proceed with the surgery. On the day of the surgery, I felt anxious and slightly stressed as I had never undergone any surgical procedure before. Once in the operating room, I was administered anesthesia, which caused a sharp pain in my hand. Shortly afterward, I lost consciousness, and when I woke up, the surgery had been completed (it took approximately an hour and a half). I went undergo tonsilictomy and sinus surgery with Dr Balwinder several months ago. I had an accident in March 2024 and my septum was deviated and a lot of facial congestion My 1st ENT surgeon wanted to operate on me immediately a few days after the accident, however I refused after consulting a senior ENT consultant (2nd opinion). Later on, after the scope by the senior ENT consultant a few weeks after the accident, he wanted me to be operated by a plastic surgeon after 4 months. However it did not take place and the case was closed as the same senior ENT consultant felt I was doing well. However I was not fully convinced as I felt my nose was bad and went for a 3rd opinion to meet my regular ENT who then referred me to Datuk as he felt that Datuk would be the best person to tackle my complex case.
