My son, back then he was 8, was having terrible snoring when he is asleep. Worst when he got flu which he will then mostly sleep with his mouth opened. We had to consult as we were concern if he had any other underlying issues as my husband was having sleep apnea due to his jaw structure and my son had the same jaw structure. So, we weren't too sure if it's the jaw or others.
We googled up for ENT specialist and then came across Dr Balwinder, whom I noticed that had made a lot of differences in people's lives, which we decided to move forward.
Upon performing detailed the scope, we identified certain growth in his nose and on his adenoid which had caused the narrow airway which doctor then prescribed medications to see how much it can shrink but over the months, it did shrink but very minor.
Fast forward to a couple of months, doctor suggested the best option was to do a surgery and not waste time on any further medications but as parents, we were very much concerned and still decided to give it a couple of months. Though the snoring stopped when he was fine but it came back to square one when he had flu, and he fell sick very easily as well.
We finally agreed on the procedure after Doctor's diagnosis and doctor provided a detailed information of what was going to take place and what were we to expect and what were we to do post surgery.
My son did feel pain initially right after the surgery but 2 days later, the pain went down quickly. After 2 days of surgery, he could eat solids though in small portions but honestly, I was expecting the recovery to be much slower than what had happened.
Now, my son doesn't fall sick easily, he breathes better and he doesn't snore. Best thing is he states that even if he doesn't sleep much in number of hours, he doesn't feel tired when he wakes up. Doctor has always emphasized the quality of sleep one has to have to be able to be productive the whole day and honestly, I see a big difference in my son. Another thing which is a relieve to me is, no more medications.
I am so glad that we have proceeded with the surgery though I have a tiny regret as to why I had not proceeded earlier. And post follow up up, Doctor Balwinder would personally follow up with his patients to check on them and see how are they doing and how can he be of help further help.
I've been to many specialist for many people in many years but this is the 1st time, I'm seeing a specialist engaging with their patients personally and ensuring the patients recovers well, especially coming from a doctor of doctor's Balwinder's status.
Thank you Doctor from the bottom of our hearts. We are so glad to finally have the procedure done through you and we are so appreciative of your support throughout, before, during and post surgery.
May you ALWAYS be blessed with a long healthy life and much happiness.
