In mid-October 2024, I met with Datuk Dr. Balwinder at KMI Taman Desa Medical Centre and informed him about the issues I was experiencing with my respiratory system, specifically difficulty breathing through the left side of my nose. He conducted an examination of my nose and suggested a CT scan to get a clearer picture of the problem and to identify which areas were blocked. After the CT scan, it was found that there were blockages on both the left and right sides. He recommended surgery to address the issue and prevent it from worsening. Additionally, he provided a detailed explanation of the procedure and how the surgery would be conducted. I agreed to proceed with the surgery. On the day of the surgery, I felt anxious and slightly stressed as I had never undergone any surgical procedure before. Once in the operating room, I was administered anesthesia, which caused a sharp pain in my hand. Shortly afterward, I lost consciousness, and when I woke up, the surgery had been completed (it took approximately an hour and a half). Post-surgery, I did not feel any pain in my nose and learned to breathe through my mouth for a few days. I was given 10 days of medical leave. The healing process took about one to two months. Now, my nasal passages are functioning well, and I no longer experience difficulty breathing or sneezing in the early mornings. At the same time, I no longer feel headaches when bending down and can carry out daily activities as usual. On January 7, 2025, he conducted a final examination, which confirmed that my nasal passages were fully functional with no blockages or inflammation. I went undergo tonsilictomy and sinus surgery with Dr Balwinder several months ago. My 5 years old son went through an adenoidectomy surgery with Datuk last year Nov. It has been a great experience with Datuk Dr Balwinder. He is a very patient doctor with great knowledge, great experiences and has a wonderful professionalism as a specialist.
