Dark Forest Retreat Amboli

An excellent and cozy resort! We stayed for 2 days and enjoyed thoroughly. The ambience and food is very good. The rooms and amenities like pool are kept clean and nicely maintained. Vikas was very helpful at the pool as well as at the breakfast area. All the staff are helpful and well behaved. There was a group conference going on during our stay and many of the rooms were occupied but we never had any issues. We shall return during the monsoons as it will be a great experience!

A decent hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff. The hotel is about 3 kms from Amobli centre but we had a cab at our disposal. We, 5 friends were on outing and our idea was to chill out apart from visiting nearby places of interest. The climate was pleasant during day with a feel of cold in the nights. The food was made to order and good Breakfast was complete with many options. All in all had a great time with childhood friends!

Great stay everytime. We have stayed here atleast 8-9 times, the food perfect,the stay perfect, people amazing. Special shoutout to Monica and Dinesh for ease of booking everytime, and making us feel like family. They gave us a nice bonfire night which was amazing in the December chill. Kombadi wada sitting at the fireside was just bliss! Definitely recommend everyone to come here and experience quiet luxury, relax in every sense and unwind!

We had an amazing 2 nights and 3 days stay at the resort with our 52 family members as get-together, and it was truly unforgettable! The rooms, food, and overall ambiance were excellent — everything was perfectly managed and well-maintained. A big thank you to Mr. Dinesh sir (owner) and Ms. Monali (manager) for their warm hospitality. Every staff member was so polite, friendly, and cooperative, making us feel completely at home. I truly appreciate the genuine and sincere service of the senior staff of this resort, Miss Monica. We arrived at the resort past 12:30 a.m., after deciding at the last minute to halt on our way from Pune to Goa. We had called just five minutes before reaching, and Miss Monica answered. Despite the late hour, she did not hesitate or deny us access. What stood out was the warmth and enthusiasm with which she welcomed us—there was no sign of inconvenience or reluctance, even though it was well past midnight. Her professionalism and positive attitude made a lasting impression. The next day, we requested a few quiet hours in the morning as we wanted to rest longer, and she ensured that our request was respected without any issues. Her sincerity and dedication truly enhanced our experience.

Had a wonderful stay at the resort. The property is beautifully maintained, rooms were spacious and clean, and the overall ambience was very relaxing. Staff were courteous and always helpful. Food was delicious with good variety. A perfect place to unwind and recharge. Would definitely visit again.

The accommodations are thoughtfully designed for families, featuring spacious, interconnected rooms that share a common veranda for a sense of privacy and isolation, while you could drive until room's door steps. The property is meticulously maintained, with the swimming pool kept absolutely clean and inviting. Dining here was a delight, as the restaurant serves a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies, including excellent tandoor items, complemented by a very decent buffet breakfast spread. It offers a rare opportunity to disconnect, as it is situated away from mobile network coverage, though the facility provides reliable Wi-Fi to keep you connected if needed. A standout highlight of our stay was the exemplary service from the extremely courteous staff, who went above and beyond to arrange an exclusive bonfire and private dinner for our family. Kudos to the entire team maintaining the properly for 7+ years.

We stayed here for 1 night. Very neat and clean property. Well maintained. The restaurant manager Mr Shahjahan Khan was also very good and he ensured we are fully satisfied with free breakfast.would recommend to stay here who ever travelling to Amboli.

Very nice resort. Clean, well maintained resort. Clean and spacious rooms with all modern amenities. Resort is inside a forest area. So, surrounded by lot of greenery, peace and quiet. So, definitely a good place for those who prefer to be close to nature. Many of the sightseeing spots in Amboli are close by. Amboli is a very scenic place, with many waterfalls around. Not much commercialized like Lonavla or Mahabaleshwar. So, one can roam around and enjoy all the tourist spots at leisure. The staff here is very warm and courteous. They keep checking with you, asking you, if you need anything, which is a rarity these days.

We visited Dark Forest Retreat in Amboli last year 🌲, and it was an amazing experience! The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean 🛏️. We also enjoyed the swimming pool—it was well-maintained and added to the fun 🏊‍♀️. The best part is that the place wasn’t too costly, making it a great value for money. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway! ✨
