The property is meticulously maintained, with the swimming pool kept absolutely clean and inviting. Dining here was a delight, as the restaurant serves a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies, including excellent tandoor items, complemented by a very decent buffet breakfast spread. It offers a rare opportunity to disconnect, as it is situated away from mobile network coverage, though the facility provides reliable Wi-Fi to keep you connected if needed. A standout highlight of our stay was the exemplary service from the extremely courteous staff, who went above and beyond to arrange an exclusive bonfire and private dinner for our family. Kudos to the entire team maintaining the properly for 7+ years.

Recently we had a family wedding at dark forest resort. One of the best decisions to finalize this venue. Entire team at dark forest were very cooperative helpful and patient. They ensured all our guests had a great time. The food which we were most concerned about but at here all the meals were too good, great variety, quality and best service. If you have shortlisted this venue for any of your events trust me you can blindly go ahead with it. Your friends and family will have a great time. And thank you once again to dark forest team.

A decent hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff. The hotel is about 3 kms from Amobli centre but we had a cab at our disposal. We, 5 friends were on outing and our idea was to chill out apart from visiting nearby places of interest. The climate was pleasant during day with a feel of cold in the nights. The food was made to order and good Breakfast was complete with many options. All in all had a great time with childhood friends!

My 6th visit to Dark Forest, with family this time (other visits have been with other friend groups). Awesome stay as always! Love the location, the weather (been there in all seasons - Summer, Winter and Monsoons), food in the restaurant and the overall helpful nature of the staff. Mr. Gawde, owner of the place is usually in the property himself most of the times, a very friendly, simple, approachable man. Would highly recommend visiting this place with family and friends, to just chill ... or do some exciting excursions in the places around (such as Baba waterfall, Hiranyakeshi temple, Pargadh fort, night jungle safari etc.).

Great stay everytime. We have stayed here atleast 8-9 times, the food perfect,the stay perfect, people amazing. Special shoutout to Monica and Dinesh for ease of booking everytime, and making us feel like family. They gave us a nice bonfire night which was amazing in the December chill. Kombadi wada sitting at the fireside was just bliss! Definitely recommend everyone to come here and experience quiet luxury, relax in every sense and unwind!

The property itself is naturally charming, but our initial experience fell a bit short of expectations. Some aspects of the service did not fully match the potential of the beautiful location. Thankfully, the team responded promptly to our feedback. Ms. Monica personally ensured a smooth room change, while the supporting team worked behind the scenes to address our concerns and enhance our stay. Their combined efforts turned the experience around and reflected genuine care for guests. With attentive service and the lovely setting, the resort offers a very enjoyable stay. A few refinements in consistency could make it truly exceptional.

Dark forest regret in Ambolighat: Brilliant experience of my recent stay. Right from the reception till the room services we received very warm hospitality. I stayed in a room categorised as “premium Villa” with family during this winter and every night they made us happy with a personal camp fire right in the front of our room. My son loved it and we spend great time seating outside in the night enjoying some traditional music. I did not drive this time and on requirement in the night, the team quickly arranged a car for us to access the nearby market. I generally prefer stay slightly deeper of the forest and far from noise and dark forest is an ideal choice for that. Rooms are very clean and everyday even before wake up in the morning, the surroundings of the room get cleaned spotlessly. Food was another part what we enjoyed fully. Cooperation from the manager of food section Mr Khan was caring and always ensured of we are satisfied. They can assist for the sightseeing and even for the night safari. Thanks team dark forest retreat for making our holidays memorable !

We had an amazing 2 nights and 3 days stay at the resort with our 52 family members as get-together, and it was truly unforgettable! The rooms, food, and overall ambiance were excellent — everything was perfectly managed and well-maintained. A big thank you to Mr. Dinesh sir (owner) and Ms. Monali (manager) for their warm hospitality. Every staff member was so polite, friendly, and cooperative, making us feel completely at home.
