Dan’s been one of the best mechanics I’ve dealt with. I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work. This was my first time using Dan and I couldn't recommend him more. From the initial conversation through to the pick up he was a pleasure to deal with. He organised a tow, major service, timing belt and roadworthy for me. He truly went above and beyond to help get my car back on the road. Dan is an absolute legend. After calling around and asking several mechanics. He was the only one able to source a new heavy duty clutch for my car (FWD golf) and replace it in a day (which should've taken 2.) Where other Mechanics told me they had a hard time finding a clutch and I will have to order one from overseas. I don't know how he did it, but he's an absolute gun and He updated me through the whole process. Photos and all. After working with several different mechanics in the past. Dan is def my new go to guy, and if you're reading this. He should be yours too. 100%

UPDATED REVIEW Since my previous review, I’ve had Dan out several more times to do repairs and general servicing on all our cars. Including one he helped us fix up before we sold it. He has worked on a range of our cars from Kia, Volkswagen and a European built Holden. We have also recommended him to relatives and friends. All of whom are also happy with Dan’s work. His friendly and transparent approach is second to none. He’s also flexible and reliable. Highly recommended! ORIGINAL REVIEW Dan from Dan’s Autowerkz recently did some repairs on my 2011 VW Polo and I was very happy with his work. I like to support local small businesses whenever possible and found Dan’s business through a search on Google maps. Dan replaced the brakes (pads and rotors) and the front shockers that needed replacing. He also was able to diagnose a tricky coolant leak which had caused a concerning emission of smoke from under the bonnet by replacing the relevant parts. The car is running very smoothly and is even better than what it was before Dan worked on it. Dan ordered the parts and was clear and transparent with the pricing. I liked that Dan is both the business owner and the mechanic who worked on the car. He did a great job, (friendly, transparent and meticulous) and I’ll be getting him back for future work (repairs and servicing). Thanks Dan.

Went and saw Dan on short notice. Absolute gentleman and went above and beyond to help me out and fit my job in. Communication and clarity on the job was A1, couldn’t be happier with the result and level of customer service. Highly recommend and will continue to use in the future.

Dan is an absolute miracle to me. Last month, I was driving my daughter to choir practice. As I accelerated from a traffic light, I felt something change in the engine. I quickly decided to take the first turn into a residential area and stopped the car. Luckily, I had a DIY diagnostic tool in the car, so I could check the issue straight away. The code read P0011, which has to do with the camshaft and/or timing chain. I called my wife to come pick us up and left the car parked in front of someone’s house while I searched for a nearby mechanic. That night, I was on Google reading reviews of mechanics near where I live. That’s when I came across Dan’s friend, Josh, from the Automotive Clinic. Josh suggested I call Dan. Dan was very honest. He told me he had worked on many timing belt and chain issues with different cars, but the Toyota Vellfire built in Japan was a bit unique. He said he would research the specific procedure for replacing the timing chain on my model. The next day, Dan called me back. He had already inspected the car and sent me a video showing the condition of the timing chains. He also gave me a rough estimate of the cost. After I agreed, Dan ordered the necessary parts and started the repair. He even sent me photos after replacing the timing chains, and when I came to pick up the car, he showed me the old parts he had removed. I also noticed on the invoice that he included: Oil (with brand and specifications) Spark plugs (with brand and specifications) Oil filter (with brand and specifications) I’ve already recommended Dan to my family and friends! Can’t recommend Daniel enough, best mechanic in Cranbourne and the surrounding Casey region. His general car service prices are fair and reasonable, while he is open an honest about any further works your vehicle may need and will go above and beyond to source the right parts at the right price. Very experienced for such a young man this is mechanic you will be able to keep for life. His also serviced family members cars of mine and they share the same thoughts. I have been to plenty of mechanics in past and giving up looking for a decent mechanic. Till I found Dans Autoworkz. Was bloody amazing and went out of his way to show me a few things with the newer cars. Highly recommend and would be getting Dan again for his professional and honest work

Dan serviced my Mini Cooper and was transparent and informative about everything, he was also honest about a repair another mechanic insisted was urgent where he could've easily charged me $900 to do a job that didn't need doing and I wouldn't have known any different. He will 100% be my go to mechanic from now on.
