Subject: Safety and Roadway Violations – Dan Swazenson, Inc. near Dingmans Bridge To Whom It May Concern, I observed employees of Dan Swazenson, Inc. performing work near Dingmans Bridge in New Jersey. During this time, I noted several serious safety and compliance violations: 1. No PPE in use – The worker on site did not wear basic required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, while working on or near the roadway. This is an OSHA violation. 2. Unsafe travel in a Scorpion truck – An employee was riding on the back of a Scorpion truck while it was in motion and actively pulling cones. This is a roadway safety violation. Employees must be seated inside the vehicle and wearing a seatbelt when the truck is moving. 3. Failure to comply with roadway safety rules – The lack of a hard hat and proper protective equipment while placing or retrieving traffic control devices exposes the worker and others to unnecessary risk. These issues represent both OSHA safety violations and traffic law violations. Immediate corrective action is needed to ensure worker safety, public safety, and compliance with regulations. Please investigate and take the necessary steps to address this situation.

Professional, fair priced, long lasting job. I've used Dan Swayze for my drive twice. Both times they did a great job that lasted years. I'll never go back to using the seal coat from Home Depot.

Well respected and upstanding company. Family run business and they take pride in everything they do. This company has been in business for 40 years and they work extremely hard to satisfy all of their customers all of the time 100%.

Looking at the below review from 4 years ago, they have not improved their driving whatsoever. Almost caused multiple accidents today with their wreck less / aggressive driving.

Whoever drives their truck and trailer should go back to driving school. Dangerous and aggressive driving. I would not trust this company if they don’t know how to pull a trailer, don’t care about anyone’s safety, or both. US 9 south by 440 interchange 7 am 4/18/2018.
