If you are searching for a concrete contractor, I recommend D and G Concrete. They recently completed a project at my Royal Oaks home and I am delighted with the finished project. Daniel Sr. and his son Daniel, were at my house within two days of my initial phone contact to evaluate the job. They provided me a proposal within days. I subsequently enlarged the scope of the project, and they made several more visits over the next two weeks. The project consisted of two stamped concrete patios, two stamped concrete aprons, a stamped concrete walkway, 135’ of fence footing, and one propane tank pad. Once finalized a start date was scheduled. Though there was a slight delay, they kept me apprised of the situation, and the work commenced as rescheduled. I was particularly impressed with their work as they formed the pour. It’s that time when a trade skill and art meet. For example, the two Daniels formed and reformed a walkway ramp with stairs several times over the course of a day before they were satisfied, transforming the mundane to aesthetically pleasing. They were attentive to my concerns regarding drainage and slope, and provided suggestions as work proceeded. At all times during the project, they sought approval as various forms were set in the yard. The core crew are all family members which I believe instills pride in their work. The stamped concrete came out great, and they returned after a month and some sunshine to seal the concrete. In addition to the quality work it was gratifying to do business with a local business.

Great company to work with! I needed a concrete retaining wall inside our crawlspace which was pretty tight to work in. I also had a very tight schedule and they managed to move some stuff around and make it work! Their prices were very fair, and they were incredibly friendly and respectful their entire time in our house. Above all else, the communication was great from start to finish! Daniel is very approachable and easy to communicate with, and helped work through all my questions and concerns. I'd happily work with them again in the future if the need arose!

What a great company! We loved working with them and the job surpassed our expectations. We put in a front and back patio, curved retaining walls to match the design of our house, stairs and a utility ramp. They were great communicators, highly skilled at their craft, even suggesting very aesthetic design ideas. their crew worked together seamlessly. And all at reasonable prices! The team at D&G was amazing, from initial contact, to visit/estimate, to job pouring and completion. Their bud was highly competitive, and the work quality was top notch. Sam was responsive on the bid, and easy to communicate with throughout the job via text. He even sent me updates at the end of each day, and photos of progress while I was at work. We had to approach this project in phases, due to budget, but I still felt very valued as a customer. I can’t wait to have them back out later this summer for the next concrete work we have planned. We had an RV pad poured, and made it flush with an existing driveway. Great work.

Daniel replied to a phone call within 30 minutes of me calling. He made arrangements to come out that very day to look at our project. He and his son showed up that afternoon and listened to exactly what my dreams/hope's were for a driveway. They got me a quote very fast. The quote was very reasonable. We agreed to the price and set a date. They showed up on the date and knocked out the demolition in 1 day. Their workers are top notch. Polite, very hard workers and respectful. They obviously take a lot of pride in their work and their company. They were very communicative and it was obvious they really cared about what I wanted/hoped for. They got the job done extremely fast and their craftsmanship far exceeded my hope's. Our driveway truly is a work of art. Their attention to detail is remarkable. They are a family owned business. After searching for a longtime online for a Concrete Contractor, getting recommendations from friends and neighbors only to have the contractors flake on you, we found the diamond in the rough. Daniel and the guys at D&G Concrete Construction are the exception! The guys at D&G are helpful, respond to calls and emails quickly and did a beautiful job on our new driveway. They came to our house a few times to walk through design ideas and gave us some recommendations on how to get the best result. If you’re looking for great work at a great price then do yourself a favor and call D&G!

We are on day two of our project, and calling this company "great" barely scratches the surface. Sam dedicated an incredible amount of time to us before the project commenced, ensuring that every detail was crystal clear. Now that we’ve embarked on this journey, we’ve made a few adjustments (on our end), and the crew has adapted effortlessly to our requests—truly a testament to the seamless operation of this family-run business. We eagerly anticipate the finished product and look forward to sharing another glowing review once it's complete.

Daniel, his sons, and his crew are all very experienced and very skilled. I first met Daniel through my parents who he did some work for in Watsonville. I was very impressed with what I saw. I had hired him for a smaller job prior to this as the concrete pad in my entry way was sinking. He built a very solid pad fortified with rebar and I knew when it came time to regrade my driveway I would definitely reach out to him. The day finally came to regrade as our cars were scraping along the driveway as we drove in and. out. We also decided to replace all the pavers in my front yard with concrete, build a staircase, a pathway, and a concrete pad in the back we'll be using for a small basketball court. D&G did NOT disappoint! I asked for the darkest color he had and he delivered. You'll find that there is some fading and light staining in the pictures but that's the nature of concrete (especially dark concrete) and not anything D&G did wrong. Nothing could have been done to prevent it. I will be keeping the concrete as clean as I can though and have D&G return to seal it all to protect it. Not only does it look amazing, I am confident in how long this will last by the care they took to be sure it was fortified and bolted down properly with rebar into the bedrock and the house's foundation. Daniel also took great care to be sure the slope of the new driveway was as shallow as possible (to fix the original problem of the cars scraping) but still making sure we had proper drainage and all the concrete was sloped the way it needed to be to channel the water away from the house during heavy rains. He also is a great communicator, providing updates, letting you know when some decisions need to be made if the original plan or design will not work, and best of all, showing you his progress with great pride. He and his crew take full ownership of their work and, while never arrogant, love showing it off (as they should). After it was all said and done, I was surprised to find Daniel in my front yard the next morning checking on everything and even hosing down the concrete for me. They are not a company that just gets the job done, gets paid, and disappears. They love seeing their customers happy and from my experience, that must happen a lot. I'd call them again in a heartbeat for any additional concrete work that needs to be done.
