Our property is on the side of a hill, so I've worked with different excavators through the years for landscaping, rock walls, and concrete. Jason and his team are at the top of my list. We flattened out part of our front yard, added a shed pad higher up, and then a ramp and a pathway between the parking and the pad. They also moved or removed a number of sprinklers. They communicated well, worked quickly, yet were careful to double check with me at different phases of the project to ensure they understood how we wanted things to go. As much as possible, they avoided tracking through the parts of the lawn that weren't being excavated. They kept up good attitudes even when their big excavator's hydraulic cylinder busted, which isn't quick or cheap to fix, and they already had other projects lined up they had to juggle with timing. They adapted to the situation masterfully and made things work out. I know if something like that happened to me I'd be stressed and losing my cool, which was not the case. You can tell as you interact with them they have a lot of experience and know exactly what they're doing and aren't cutting corners. I think pricing was reasonable, too. Jason and the crew are also very personable and easy to talk to, which makes a project go smoother. Don't look further than DEX Excavation; you won't be disappointed.
