Not very many fields require you to continue to learn throughout your career unless you are a professional. Being a Master electrician does not mean you automatically are a #contractor. It takes time, money, and insurances in order to incorporate your business model and get on the path of #entrepreneurship.
Consistently undergoing multiple instances of verification of licensure, insurance and compliance throughout projects.
After being involved in this industry for over 25 years, (although considered #bluecollarlife) it's time we advocate for respect.
In many instances of conversations with individuals, there seems to be a stigma associated with this career choice.
