Crown BJJ

Finding the right environment for your child matters so much as a parent, and Crown BJJ in Bluffdale has been that place for our family. While I don’t personally train, I spend a lot of time at the gym supporting my husband and especially our 12-year-old son, who has been training here for just over three years. From the very beginning, I’ve always felt welcomed and comfortable walking through the doors. The culture is warm, respectful, and truly family-oriented! The impact Crown has had on my son has been incredible! He’s grown into a 2x NAGA champion, which we’re extremely proud of — but what means even more to us is the confidence and discipline he’s developed with the coaches. We’ve seen a noticeable difference in him at school and in everyday life. He carries himself differently now, with more self-belief and focus. The friendships he’s built there have also been huge. The coaches genuinely care about the kids, not just as athletes but as people. As parents, we’ve never once questioned safety, cleanliness, or professionalism. This gym is exceptionally well kept, and the standards are sky high. For any family in the Salt Lake area looking for a positive, structured, and supportive place for their child to grow, Crown BJJ is truly special!

One of the best experiences I have had is at this gym. Truly a place filled with great people that are there to better peoples skills on and off the Mat. Went for a trial, and fell in love with it. I can’t recommend this gym more to anyone who has ever considered giving Bjj a go. No matter what your skill level is, they will make you feel at home from the moment you walk in! Great people, great gym, great time!!

We have LOVED our time here— Carver is so kind and patient with our kids and keeps them engaged every class. The facility is always spotless and staff is helpful and friendly. Faust is always there with a smile on his face and ready to tie belts for every parent who doesn’t know how to do it :)

I enjoy watching my niece train at Crown BJJ every Tuesday. The professors are so knowledgeable and so kind with their students. They are outstanding mentors to the both the young and the old. However, with this said, the professors make ALL their students work hard to EARN their belts. There is no laziness to be had here. Crown BJJ is a gym, a mindset, a family. Here you will be welcomed, here you will be challenged both physically and mentally, here you will grow...here you will be home.

My 15 year old daughter started coming here to Crown BJJ about 4 months ago and we absolutely love it! Not only for the training which is top notch, but the culture is so warm and inviting. It’s like a big supportive family. Such a positive atmosphere. I have even joined in on the women’s classes a hand full of times, and will be signing up as well. Professor Michel, and Professor Carver are the absolute best and really help my daughter with any positions she is struggling with. Every single professor here, is honestly so amazing!! They take their time with her. I could not recommend this gym enough! I also really love the Muay Thai classes! So much fun and a killer workout!

So many great things to say about Crown BJJ and Professor Josh! The instruction is top notch, the facility is clean, they have a stacked recovery room with cold plunges/ sauna, the rolls are challenging, and everyone is very welcoming. Learning from a multiple time IBJJf World Champion is special! Whether you are a hobbyist, a competitor, or someone who wants to learn a new martial art for yourself or kids, I would highly recommend Professor Josh/Crown BJJ!

I've been training at crown bjj for three years. The learning environment and people at crown are amazing. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable. Not only are the coaches knowledgeable, they are amazing identifying weaknesses in your jiu jitsu and making them strengths. I can't thank Crown Bjj enough.

Best BJJ gym in Utah. Carver and Michele do an amazing job with the kids. We have been to 3 other gyms in Utah and Crown is by far the best one. The facility is clean and the mat space is huge giving plenty of room for everyone to work. There is also a lot of space for parents to sit and watch.

This is my first BJJ academy ever, and I couldn't be happier with Crown BJJ! I was pretty nervous walking in as a beginner, but the professors and everyone training here were incredibly friendly and welcoming—they made me feel right at home from day one. There are students of all levels, and they're always happy to help you learn, drill, and improve. Literally the best bjj gym and been to. Great for both kids and adults. Instructors are amazing. They truly put love and care into their crafts and it bleeds through all throughout the gym. Highly recommend!!
