Crest at Skyland Town Center

The garage door has been broken multiple times since living here. They don’t offer any compensation. I thank God our vehicles tires weren’t stolen like others or windows broken. The Concierge staff besides Patricia is horrible! They have so many people that can’t even receive and sort packages. They’re just lazy and unprofessional. They stay on the phone on personal calls so you can’t get through when you call. I was told if a person wasn’t on your list they would not be let up. The have let people up without our permission. Building has so many nasty residents with dogs and they don’t clean up after them. The carpet on the 2nd floor smells. It’s not worth the money. For what they’re charging they also need better tubs. The tubs are so low you can’t even have a relaxing bath. Just ready to go have been here for way too long and I’m glad it’s coming to an end soon

Crest of Skyland earns a glowing 10+ rating from me! The staff at the leasing office is incredibly personable and professional, making every interaction a joy. The maintenance team is truly exceptional—quick, reliable, and courteous. Without a doubt, Crest of Skyland is the best place I’ve ever called home!

I live here at the Crest At Skyland Town Center Apartments Bldg. I really love living here. It's so close to everything that l need. Now from the leasing agent to the property manager and all there staff are so nice to me. I never seen them with a different disposition on there face. They are all have a smile. If l need help they are there for me. Now coming to get maintenance. Let me tell you this for all the Apartments here in this building, there maintenance team are off the chain. Since l been here and l need maintenance they are here the same day that l called them. Thank maintenance. Now coming to the leasing office. I won't give up names but thank you and William C Smith has done for me a year now since l been here. I truly appreciate you a lot. Property Manager you both has been there for me as well especially when l needed the help l needed. Front Desk, the lady's and the gentleman has been there for me especially with my packages and when my home health aids comes to me. I thank you all for your help. Now see l all l can give everyone a great report, because all they have done is do great things for me. Now l forgot one thing the security that is here patrol in the grounds are great. Thank you as well. So when you come to live here to me you don't want to move. For what everything is in walking distance. Now come and live at the Crest Bldg you won't want to move. A tenant at The Crest Center Drive Southeast.

My husband and I have been living here for almost a year now and we love it. Dominque was such a pleasure and has always been helpful and kind since we’ve moved in. The building is well maintained and the immediate area infront of the building has been safe, no issues. My only con is that the windows are poorly insulated and if you live on the Marion Barry side you can literally hear everything from outside as if you were right on the sidewalk. Also would have weed smoke coming through bedroom vents from time to time. But overall definitely recommend staying here!! UPDATE: I’m very disappointed with the service received since we moved out. We did not receive all of our security deposit back since moving out. I’ve returned in person 3 times since August to follow up and have had multiple phone calls with the property managers. Both made me guarantees about making the correction but have not done so. One thing I don’t play about is money and we’ve been VERY patient and understanding. I asked for emails to detail these conversations regarding corrections and they have not sent any. They’ve displaced blame, pushed back timelines, and have not been communicative. It’s ridiculous

Her proactive approach to addressing issues and ensuring a positive living environment is commendable. Mr. Raul has been an incredible support since I moved in. Although he wasn't the one who initially showed or moved me into my apartment two years ago, he has been outstanding in every interaction since then. He goes above and beyond in his role, not only excelling in leasing but also assisting with any challenges that come his way. His dedication and willingness to help with everything truly make a difference. Ms. Patricia, the Lead Concierge, always provides a warm welcome and a listening ear. Her friendly demeanor and readiness to assist with any request make a significant impact on the resident experience. She consistently goes out of her way to ensure that residents feel valued and heard. Together, this amazing team creates a welcoming and supportive community atmosphere. Their dedication to providing excellent customer service has made my time at Crest at Skyland Town Center truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a place where the staff genuinely cares about its residents. Sure why not I felt I was at home. It was beautiful apartment was amazing and the people was kind and friendly and it was very secure there which I love and it doesn’t allows no smoking yes I love it.

I love this complex. Quiet, clean and convenient! I don’t live here but I visit often, the reason I did not give 5 stars is because my experience with the front lobby concierge is always unpleasant. Not welcoming and unnecessary attitude. They dread to open the door and when you speak and say that you are a visitor they act as if they do not want to call the resident to verify, or let you up. I seem to always run into the young lady with the short hair cut and the older lady with the red hair. Other than that I would not mind living here!

I have had all good experiences at the Crest so far. The staff has been very friendly and personable. I try to initiate my conversations with friendliness even when I have a complaint. I have gotten super helpful service. The man at the front desk always greets me with a smile and sometimes a little joke. I have never lived in a building with front desk service and I have to say that it adds a feeling of security. The amenities are great I have used the lounge and I see people conducting business and studying in the business center with regularity. All-in-all, only good experiences so far.

I love living here! My experience has been great! There are no issues that seem to be normal for this area. The concierge and leasing staff is helpful and friendly.The building is maintained nicely and is always clean. Maintenance is impeccable! It’s unheard of the service that they provide! The amenities are great and the best part is the grocery store is right outside my front door! 5 stars again and again!

I read the previous reviews and am shocked at the experiences that folks have had. My experience has been nothing but positive - every single step of the way. The staff at Crest is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind, personable, helpful and customer-centric. I felt supported and heard every step of the way before deciding to live here. The process of applying and moving in was extremely organized and planned well in advance. The staff communicated with me every step of the way. The building itself is beautiful and is in a wonderful location which gives you access to shops/gas station/post office/and more right across the street. There is a CVS and bank right downstairs. There is also a town center being built that will include additional restaurants, coffee shops and stores. You are literally 10 minutes from Capitol Hill, Eastern Market and Navy Yard. The building offers wonderful amenities - concierge, gym, pool, office space, covered parking. The concierge is pleasant and helpful - any time of the day, any day of the week. The building is quite large but very quiet. I must admit that living here has been a blessing. Coming from someone with high expectations, I would highly recommend Crest without any hesitation.
