The reviews were strong and the location is convenient for me, but this salon wasn’t the right fit. I left feeling disappointed. I booked a deluxe pedicure with regular polish. Things started off well, but the actual nail care felt minimal, mostly just a trim and file. No base coat was applied before the colour, and only one coat of polish was used. I’m used to two coats, especially with lighter shades, so the finish didn’t look great. I also wasn’t asked about my preference.
Partway through, the technician began moving back and forth between me and another client, which felt awkward and a bit unhygienic. After that, I waited about 20 minutes, assuming my nails needed time to dry before the hot stone massage. When I finally looked up, she asked, while still assisting the other client, if I was ready to leave. I said yes, if the service was complete. There was some confusion before she came over to help me remove the toe separators.
As I was leaving, I was asked if I was happy, but I didn’t feel comfortable raising concerns at that point, especially given the lack of communication throughout and the split attention during my appointment (which I had prebooked). I also wondered if I had misunderstood the service, but later confirmed that a deluxe pedicure does include a hot stone massage, which I didn’t receive but still paid for.
The staff seemed pleasant and the space was clean, and to be fair, my feet do feel soft and hydrated. It just wasn’t the experience I expected, and not somewhere I’d return.
