The Cremation Society of Pennsylvania was actually suggested to us by our hospice social worker as she knew a lot of families used them and she heard good things. The cost at the private funeral home for direct cremation was considerably higher than Cremation Society. You want to feel like you're giving your loved one the best care and it's a difficult decision to make. We ultimately chose the Cremation Society due to the cost and the good reviews. Thankfully, we made arrangements in advance and when the time came, our hospice nurse called for us and they arrived within 1.5 hours to pick my mother-in-law up. The gentlemen who picked her up were kind and respectful. Rachel in the Blue Bell office was wonderful as well. The only part I didn't love was the "sales" portion when I first called... They have salespeople and they handle you initially. I kind of felt like I was buying a car. Other than that, which had nothing to do with the service itself, I felt my mother-in-law was treated with the utmost respect, I would definitely recommend.
