My husband and I came to Fiona during a period of significant relationship strain. We were hoping for support to begin repairing our connection and to help us think through how to navigate our day to day lives. While our circumstances were quite complex and emotionally intense, Fiona’s approach, which is centred on foundational wellbeing and communication patterns was exactly what we needed. This structure would be reassuring and effective for many couples, particularly those whose challenges sit primarily with communication - and I think that would be most couples. Fiona shared a model for understanding relationship patterns that resonated with us both, and she provided various resources that we found genuinely helpful and practical. This material gave us tools that we were able to take away and reflect on afterward. This included listening to an audiobook that she recommended – this was something new for both my husband and I. However as we listened, we realised how knowledgeable and in-tune Fiona was  with our needs as the audio book (Hold Me Tight - 10/10 recommend) was exactly what my husband and I needed – we actually found ourselves giggling together – and at times shedding a tear – as  we recognised ourselves through the chapters. Her counselling space is modest and functional, and sessions felt calm and contained. Fiona herself was consistent and steady in her manner showing genuine compassion which contributed to a space where my husband I felt safe and supported enough to be vulnerable and truly open with not just Fiona but also with each other. Overall, I feel Fiona would be a a great fit for couples genuinely seeking to do the necessary work to repair and reconnect.

From the very first session, Fiona created a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where we both felt truly heard. Her empathy and professionalism are exceptional — she balances compassion with clear, practical guidance that really helps you understand each other better. Fiona’s approach has made a real difference in how to communicate and resolve conflict. We’ve both grown so much thanks to her insight and support. If you’re looking for an effective, caring, and highly skilled counsellor, Fiona is absolutely wonderful.
