We’re currently preparing this crawl space for a secondary support beam by installing properly sized concrete footings. This step is critical to ensure the beam and adjustable steel jacks have a solid, stable base to transfer the weight of the home safely into the ground.
Over time, many homes experience sagging or bouncy floors due to weakened or undersized supports. By adding engineered support with correctly placed footings, we’re reinforcing the structure from the ground up and helping prevent further settlement or damage.
Concrete footings are not just an add-on — they are the foundation of a reliable support system. Without them, jacks or beams can shift, settle, or fail over time. When installed properly, they provide long-term stability, improved floor performance, and peace of mind.
This is a great upgrade for homeowners already investing in crawl space improvements like waterproofing, encapsulation, or moisture control. Addressing structural concerns at the same time ensures your crawl space is not only clean and dry, but also properly supported.
If you’ve noticed uneven or sagging floors, it may be time to have your crawl space evaluated.
