HOW WE CUT YOUR COUNTERTOPS š šāØ
Ever wonder what happens between picking your slab and installation day? Here's a look inside our Sterling VA fabrication shop.
We use water-cooled saws to cut quartz and granite. The water keeps the blade cool and washes away dust while cutting.
This matters because:
ā
Heat can crack or discolor stone ā water prevents that
ā
Cooled cuts leave smoother edges with less chipping
ā
Dust control keeps the slab surface clean
Some smaller operations use dry-cutting tools meant for tile work. Those leave rougher edges that need more grinding and polishing to fix.
Water-cooled equipment costs more to run, but the cuts come out cleaner from the start.
Having our own shop also means we control the timeline. No waiting on a third-party fabricator to fit your job into their schedule.
