One of the largest mansions in Alabama is getting a massive second chance. 🏰
A 68,000 square foot estate known as “The Guitar House” because of its uniquely shaped driveway is being completely restored after years of neglect, leaks, dry rot, and unfinished renovations.
The property, originally built in 1997, was recently purchased for $4.8 million by luxury restoration entrepreneur Sergei Kaminskiy, who plans to transform it into a showcase estate for his high end renovation brand.
The mansion includes:
✨ 15 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms
✨ A 25 seat private movie theater
✨ A 2,000 bottle wine cellar
✨ Indoor equestrian facilities
✨ Renaissance style ceiling murals
✨ Resort style pool and cabana apartments
✨ A massive geothermal cooling system with 64 underground wells
But behind the grand architecture were major problems including water leaks, termite damage, dry rot, algae filled pools, and failing systems that made parts of the home nearly unusable.
Now, the multi year restoration aims to preserve the estate’s historic craftsmanship while adding modern luxury amenities like a wellness center, saunas, cryotherapy, and training facilities.
The project highlights a growing trend in luxury real estate: restoring iconic estates instead of tearing them down.
