Coombe Meadow Lodges & Family Farm Stay

A truly wonderful space with the most attentive hosts in Steve and Melissa. The cabin was everything we wanted it to be and more, our boys were utterly delighted with the upstairs soft play area and plentiful toys and books to keep them amused. This allowed us parents to actually sit down in relative peace for a time and stare into the warming fire.....priceless! The surrounding environment was fantastic for us as a family, the animals were friendly and our boys enjoyed being part of the feeding time. Having the outdoor park, mud kitchen, indoor soft play, games room and crazy golf meant we didn't have to leave to find entertainment. Many thanks Steve, Melissa and all the animals.

★★★★★ Absolutely amazing stay – truly unforgettable! We had the most amazing and beautiful stay at Coombe Mill, Cornwall. Everything about this place is exceptional – from the best service to the best location and overall best stay we’ve experienced. The cottages are stunning, spotless, and incredibly well thought out for families. The owners are genuinely lovely and extremely helpful, which makes such a difference. There is so much for kids to enjoy – farm animal feeding, a soft play area, indoor and outdoor play areas, and even a kids’ play area inside the cottage. Our children were entertained nonstop! Adults are equally spoiled with activities: pool table, foosball, table tennis, barbecue area, and the beautiful river flowing through the property with slides and nature all around. It’s peaceful, scenic, and fun at the same time. Coombe Mill is the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. We made unforgettable memories here and cannot recommend it highly enough. We’ll definitely be coming back! Note- supermarkets area really far so be prepared!

I would gladly give more stars if possible. The accommodation was perfect, and the location was idyllic. Steve and Melissa are exceptional hosts, making it very easy to desire a return visit. I highly recommend this place.

Stayed here for the new year with my wife and daughter! Everything was perfect even the new management, My 2 year old loved the upstairs play room, we will definitely be returning.

Located deep in the camel valley, in North Cornwall. Beautiful log cabins and a small working farm, give you a great experience.

Such a fantastic place which as a family, we have visited numerous times. We have used three different lodges and all have exactly what we need to run a self catered stay. Lots to do on site for children (enjoyed at different ages) and so many attractions close by. We have enjoyed activities in the sun and on rainy stays and you never run out of things to do.

Comfortable chalets in a beautiful valley setting. Perfect set up for young families. Our chalet was big and comfortable for the family and the grandparents, with a play room for the toddlers. The children and the adults love the daily farm run to feed the animals. Grandad and the grandchildren enjoyed fishing in the stream and the fishing lake and caught plenty of fish. Barbeque areas including an indoor one and games rooms handy for wet days. And also an excellent base for visiting the local beaches and areas of North Cornwall. Run by a great team, Highly recommended

Fantastic log cabins with great amenities. Feeding the farm animals every morning is great for kids young and old. Some of the kids play things are looking a little tired but there are plenty of things to do.

We had a fab week in Coombe Mill this week gone. I took my 11 year old, 8 year old and 2 year old. There was plenty for all 3 ages to enjoy from the park area, games room and soft play barn. We stayed in the polzeath lodge and that itself has a big play room. We were so lucky with the weather so did not get the full use out of the indoor areas however if you have wet days these are perfect. The lodge was fully equipped with everything you need and comfy beds. The owners are lovely and our children thoroughly enjoyed heading out on the animal feed runs and then going back to visit the animals at all times of the day! Be prepared for the tightest of roads and hills...me and my husband were supposed to share the driving but I just couldn't cope with all the reversing should a car come in the opposite direction 😄 Definitely a me problem! If your looking for a holiday in the UK and have children I would definitely recommend Coombe Mill. Liv x

What a great place to stay for families! Kids love the animal feeding and I appreciate that I've learned things too! I really hope we don't have to buy guinea pigs after this trip though, kids love them! Great accommodation and love the self contained and self catering nature at this time. Very good covid processes. We feel very safe.
