A truly wonderful space with the most attentive hosts in Steve and Melissa. The cabin was everything we wanted it to be and more, our boys were utterly delighted with the upstairs soft play area and plentiful toys and books to keep them amused. This allowed us parents to actually sit down in relative peace for a time and stare into the warming fire.....priceless! The surrounding environment was fantastic for us as a family, the animals were friendly and our boys enjoyed being part of the feeding time. Having the outdoor park, mud kitchen, indoor soft play, games room and crazy golf meant we didn't have to leave to find entertainment. Many thanks Steve, Melissa and all the animals.

Have had a wonderful stay at Coombe Meadow! The location: close to the coast and central to Cornwall, but also very secluded. Once outside at the lodges, you'll hear nothing but the birds and the river. Very quiet and idyllic. Our lodge was very good; high-end and luxurious feeling. First class wood burner as well (our host Steve made sure there was plenty of properly dried wood). As for the kids: a full floor (attic) of toys, a soft play area, a games/play room for rainy days, full outdoor playground with large number of slides, and a large number of animals: guinea pigs, chickens which can be picked up, inquisitive goats, sheep and fallow deer. The animals can be fed in nearly daily feeding rounds. Highlight for us was searching for an antler the stag had shed! In other words: for our kids it was an adventure! They very much enjoyed it! (and were sad to leave) Host Steve was always around, ready to help or make a small chat. He also responds quickly if something's up or if you have a question. With the quality of the lodges, the location and all the items around the house in mind, the price is very, very reasonable... Undoubtedly forgetting a few things which make for a lovely stay - which actually sums it up quite nicely: high-end & enjoyable lodges which make for a great vacation! Would definitely very much recommend!

A truly amazing place. Steve and Melissa are brilliant hosts where nothing was too much trouble. The position of Coombe Meadow is so tranquil and beautiful. The lodges have all you need for the perfect stay. There was so much for our grandchildren to do, from the soft play area to the outdoor play area. The highlight for them was feeding the animals, (especially the pigs) with Steve and a reward of collecting fresh eggs from the hens. The whole family enjoyed the bbq house, which can be enjoyed whatever the weather. There is also a pizza oven which can be enjoyed, although we didn’t get to enjoy it as we ran out of time. . A lot of thought and effort has gone into making everything so special. Just to sit and listen to the bird song and watch the river camel was magical. We highly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Just finished a week’s stay at Coombe Meadow (formerly Coombe Mill to us). After 15 years of visiting our happy place, watching our kids grow and flourish among the animals and beautiful surroundings, we arrived with a little trepidation, wondering if things might feel different. Thankfully, they really didn’t. Steve and Melissa were very open when they took over Coombe and spoke about the changes they hoped to make. It’s clear they’ve both fallen in love with the place, the animals and the setting and that care really shows. The feed run was still a highlight: calm, enjoyable, and the chickens were as friendly and easy to handle as ever. GIsmo and the guinea pigs are still a firm favourite with our kids. While there’s no tractor ride at the moment, it didn’t take away from the experience. The lodges are still homely and spotlessly clean with toys and games provided and extras can be found in the games room and soft play if needed. Steve truly went above and beyond during our stay bringing extra towels during the wet weather, providing extra eggs, and even adjusting the feed run time to suit the lazier teenagers in our group! It was also lovely to hear Steve share his vision for Coombe. We left feeling reassured that it’s in safe hands, and we’re already looking forward to returning in the summer to see what new touches Steve and Melissa bring to this beautiful place. We had a fantastic stay at the lodge with our 3 year old and really enjoyed everything the site had to offer. The games room and gym were brilliant extras, and the morning animal feeds were a lovely way to start each day. Steve went above and beyond by putting on an Easter egg hunt, which made the whole trip feel extra special over Easter. The lodge itself was beautifully fitted out, with plenty of space for all of us. We especially appreciated the dedicated toy room upstairs, and the modern log burner made the place feel cosy and inviting in the evenings. Overall, a wonderful stay and somewhere we’d happily return to.

We had such a wonderful stay at Coombe Meadow. The lodges, the location and the facilities are wonderful. The owner, Steve was so accommodating. I have twin toddlers and Steve made sure we had everything we needed for them. Feeding the animals on the small farm was a definite highlight for the children, along with the extra play room we had in our lodge. There is alot of facilities to keep children happy on the site, yet the site is still peaceful and relaxing for the adults.

We had a wonderful stay at Coombe Meadow in St Breward with my husband, our toddler and our dog. We stayed in Polzeath and it was perfect for our family, especially as my toddler loved the play room in the lodge. We also really enjoyed the tour of the site, feeding the farm animals and collecting the chicken eggs. The onsite park was brilliant for all ages, with a sand pit and diggers as well as a separate mud kitchen, which our little one loved. The whole place was very peaceful, beautifully set out and very reasonably priced. We would happily recommend Coombe Meadow to friends and family with children and toddler. It was the perfect family break.

We had an amazing 4 night stay at Coombe Mill over New Year, we didn't want to leave! The new owners Steve and Mellissa went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed. Our cabin was spotless and had all the essentials for a self catering stay, the indoor log burner is a lovely touch. Our 2 year old daughter enjoyed the upstairs playroom, as well as the various play areas on the farm and feeding the animals on the morning feed run. We enjoyed using the indoor BBQ to cook a couple of our meals too. The location is great, so quiet and peaceful but close enough to Bodmin and other villages and hamlets for days out and enjoying nature. We will definitely be booking to come back in the summer :)

Coombe Meadow was a wonderful place to stay as a family. Steve and Melissa were very accommodating. Our boys loved the feed run every morning and all the play areas. We stayed in Heligan Lodge and it was spotless on arrival, with everything we initially needed. We hope to be back again!

★★★★★ Absolutely amazing stay – truly unforgettable! We had the most amazing and beautiful stay at Coombe Mill, Cornwall. Everything about this place is exceptional – from the best service to the best location and overall best stay we’ve experienced. The cottages are stunning, spotless, and incredibly well thought out for families. The owners are genuinely lovely and extremely helpful, which makes such a difference. There is so much for kids to enjoy – farm animal feeding, a soft play area, indoor and outdoor play areas, and even a kids’ play area inside the cottage. Our children were entertained nonstop! Adults are equally spoiled with activities: pool table, foosball, table tennis, barbecue area, and the beautiful river flowing through the property with slides and nature all around. It’s peaceful, scenic, and fun at the same time. Coombe Mill is the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. We made unforgettable memories here and cannot recommend it highly enough. We’ll definitely be coming back! Note- supermarkets area really far so be prepared!
