We hired Contra Costa Tree & Stump Removal to take down a very large redwood and grind the stump in an extremely tight, difficult space, and they did an outstanding job. This was not a simple project. Bruce and his crew worked incredibly hard, were careful and methodical, and handled everything with real skill and professionalism. They took the tree down safely, ground the stump thoroughly, and cleaned up far better than we expected given how much material was involved. We opted to keep the mulch pile. You could tell they weren’t rushing or cutting corners and that they took their time where it mattered and did it right. Bruce and his crew are professional, showed up when they said they would and charged a very fair price for how much work this actually was. We’d have done this years ago if we’d known about Contra Costa Tree & Stump Removal. The companies we called out in years past to view and estimate were overwhelmed, unsure and overpriced, so we tabled the project. Bruce was confident and didn’t hesitate, he was clear he could get this job done. If you’re reading reviews trying to figure out who to call, we already did that work and there is need to call anyone else, we strongly recommend Bruce and his team.

CC Tree & Stump came out early on a workday to take a look at the large, dead tree that needs to be removed from my yard. I wasn't home, but they had a quote for me within an hour. Very professional and quick communication!

When a large tree in my yard fell against my house, Bruce and his team were there 4 hours after I called. They had the tree removed from my property less than an hour after that. They were the only company that could help me the same day and charged less than the others I called. Straight forward, efficient, budget friendly, and kind. Thanks Bruce!

Bruce and his crew showed up on time and worked nonstop until the job was completed. The price was less than what I had been quoted by other and Bruce's price included more work than the other bids. Definitely a ☆☆☆☆☆ outfit.

Bruce and his crew just cleaned our two of 1+ acre land with thick plantation, him and his coworkers all are very good and very efficient and very friendly. They cleaned both lots thoroughly with quality in short time. His price is fairly reasonable also. I would use him again and again. Only thing is he is very busy, you will need to contact him earlier.

Don’t pay any attention to the other review here, the one star review by Mr. Gonzales. All I can think is that he is a competitor of Bruce Adair, Contra Costa Tree Service. Bruce has been my go-to tree service for 20 years At my home in Kensington, and I have personally referred him to dozens of other homeowners in the East Bay Hills. Bruce is skilled and his prices are very competitive. He is responsive when you call, and meticulous at his job sites. I hope some of his hundreds of other satisfied customers will join me in google reviewing Contra Costa Tree Service.

Bruce & his crew showed up a few hours after my initial text/call. They actually removed the tree that very same day. Super efficient, friendly and professional. All done for a fair price. Highly recommend them for any tree work.

I highly recommend this team. I called for an estimate and Bruce immediately answered and came over within 30 minutes to give me an estimate. He was able to remove the tree stump and tidy up the lawn within an hour that same day. Very quick and efficient and at a great price.

I was concerned with the dry weather and high winds in my area that the tree would fall. He came by right after a job he finished and noticed the tree and ground were moving when the wind blew. He called that night and told me he would be there on Sunday to remove the tree. Bruce and his team where there early and were able to get the 100+ foot pine tree cut down. They removed all the debris from the yard and put it in the wood chipper. It took a few hours to get down, but it was a lot faster than i thought it would take. Thanks Bruce and Team.
