SIMPLY THE BEST SHOP IN THE NASHVILLE AREA…..The owner Matt Colgate is the best mechanic I’ve ever met. My family and I were stranded on the side of the interstate after our Ford F350 broke down so I called Mr. Colgates shop at 2:30 am, he was quick to respond! Matt and a tow truck came to our rescue within 30 min. He found the problem and we were back on the road in no time. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Thanks Matt!

BEWARE "catfish" is nothing but a liar and scam. We drove my truck to his shop just to have to have it towed to another after 9 months of lies and being put off. He would never return phone calls. After having the truck towed we found out that they broke the tag light completely off, busted the tail light, and the alternator that he supposedly replaced was bad. So I basically paid $600 to have my truck towed off his lot in worse condition than we left it 9 months ago. Just for a new shop to have it running in less than 72 hours. Oh and the other shop said he put on the valve covers backwards. I could go on and on about the lies catfish has told be and what a horrible business person he is. He basically stole $600 from a single mom. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP WITH YOUR VEHICLE!!!!

Great service! Matt is honest and dependable. He cares about his clients and doesn't overcharge. He explained everything that would need to be done beforehand, and I got frequent updates throughout the service. Definitely recommend, and plan to use Colgate Affordable Auto again for future repair needs!

Our motor home broke down just east of Lebanon. I called all the RV shops and mechanics in the area and even a few in Nashville. Anyone who was willing to work on motor homes was completely booked out for at least a week. Colgate’s Affordable Auto/Diesel Repair told me they were equally busy, but would take a look and see what they could do. Our throttle body was shot. Matthew did his due diligence to find a replacement at a reasonable cost. He was very sympathetic to our situation and rushed the part in and squeezed us into the schedule. Two days later we were back on the road. The yard is secure with ample video surveillance and they took excellent care of our home while it was in their possession. I hate that we broke down and had to stay in a hotel for three nights, but the silver lining was that we broke down near Colgate’s shop. I hope that I never have to visit them again, but if we happen to need maintenance the next time we are near Lebanon, Colgate’s will be the first place I call.

Do not trust these people! They will lie to you and tell you they've done work they haven't done. We hired them over the phone to inspect a trailer we purchased at auction to make sure it was road worthy. We were told that they had measured the trailer and done an inspection, checked the lights and brakes, and the trailer was ready to pull down the road. We had a big surprise when the driver showed up to find: The wires were stripped out of the pigtail for the lights, so there was no way to get power to them The wiring to the lights was broken in multiple spots, to the point where it's impossible that the 'mechanic' could have checked them. The air lines to the brakes were full of holes, and the brakes were leaking air The trailer was 9'9" wide, despite the 'mechanic' assuring us that the widest spot on the trailer was 9', meaning the permits for a 9' load we purchased were no good and we had to have them changed. So now the driver we hired is scrambling to try and fix this trailer before the permits to haul it expire, when we could have hired someone to have it road worthy in advance, if they had done their job and actually went and looked at it. Instead, they outright lied. I will be getting a hold of the better business bureau about these scammers and their questionable business practices.

Only place that had any availability to keep me on the road in the area. Super friendly and down to earth folks and vehicle is performing great. Definitely recommend for those in the area

Matthew (Catfish) is a great person who does incredible work. He is honest and professional. As an out of town person, he took my truck in right away, found the problem, worked tirelessly to fix it in a very timely manner. Did his best to fix it in the most affordable way. I highly recommend him and his work.

I broke down in Lebanon at a pilot truck stop 400 miles away from home, I called what seemed like every shop in the state, including mobile mechanics and no one had time to help, until we found these guys at Colgate's affordable auto/diesel repair. They gave me directions to the shop and had me in the building within 20 minutes. They are kind, professional guys with a great attitude and a focus on the job. I cannot recommend anyone higher than these guys. Thanks a million!

It's been some time since I had work done here but I had to have the same job done over because they didn't do something right. They had the truck for months it cam back with a weird vibration it never had to start with. They said the heads were sent to a shop and the new mechanic said no he was not being honest. I believe the new mechanic because the heads were never stamped. I found a bolt in the thermostat housing popped 2 rads before I found it. He said it must have even there. I want to say they switched parts of my truck to another that was there.

We broke down near Lebanon, TN on the side of the road with 3 kids, 2 dogs and towing our camper. Matthew came out on the highway to see if it was something he could fix and get us on our way. Unfortunately it wasn’t. We were stranded in Lebanon. He was supposed to be leaving for vacation but told us he wouldn’t go till he had us safely back on the road. He ended up spending 3 days getting our oil pump and doing a complete service on our excursion before we drove it 500 miles back home with no problems. We were very grateful we broke down where we did. His prices were fair and he was genuinely concerned that he wanted to get us back on the road safely.
