Cogburn's

I’m so glad my realtor found Cogburn’s 3 years ago. They are very helpful, thorough, they take the time to explain things. I have a maintenance contract with them and they are very thorough in checking everything out each quarter. If I have any questions, they are only a phone call away.

I had Cogburn's come out for a second opinion. I had two units installed by another company, and the smaller of the two units is functioning correctly, but not cooling the house effectively. Byron took the time to go over the specs of my units and ran load calculations to determine the right sized units I should have. He explained everything in a way that was technical, but also easy to understand. I really appreciated his input, thoughts and knowledge.

We called for a second opinion. Byron was honest and thorough with our situation. We installed a new unit and also had some airflow issues corrected thanks to Byron’s knowledge. Eric, Brandon, and Manny installed our unit and did an amazing job. Camie worked out our scheduling and handled our city inspection quickly and helped us with the rebate program. We can’t say enough good things about this company and highly recommend for all your HVAC needs!

Cogburn's has been our service provider for the last few years for all our heating & air conditioning needs. They initially handled small service fixes, and then replaced the 20+ yr. old downstairs furnace 16-17 months ago. In all of that work they showed a reliable, courteous, and professional approach to what they do. This past week, late July 2025, just as the daily high temperatures crept into the low 100s, our upstairs ac unit began to show its age of 13 yrs. Byron (the owner of Cogburn's) had to replace the capacitor, but a week later the fan motor bearings began to squeal. Rather than replace that expensive single item, and then wait for the more costly compressor to go out, we went with an entirely new unit. The cost of the recently replaced capacitor was deducted from the cost of the new unit. Byron's team of Manny and Eric worked diligently through the afternoon (103 in the shade, and 130+ in the attic) to put it in. I am entirely pleased with the result and recommend Bryon and his team to you. I will add that with the other earlier calls, another technician, Ricky, if my memory serves, was also terrific in his work. The furnace and ac units they installed are both Amana products. The warranty of 10 yrs. on parts was a strong selling point. In the 16-17 months since the Amana furnace was installed there has not been any issue with it. It is early in the life of the ac unit but with appropriate maintenance I expect this unit to give good service too for a lengthy period of time. In addition to the outdoor unit and indoor evaporator coil they also replaced the external junction box, and included a surge protector. That last bit seems very thorough to me. Interestingly, Cogburn's is the first company we have ever used to mention and emphasize the importance of regularly washing the outdoor unit with a hose to maintain efficiency. (Do not use the jet setting on your handheld nozzle, or a power washer. That could damage the condenser fins) Without reservation, I recommend you call Cogburn's for your heating and AC needs.

After getting ridiculous quotes from what I thought was the best HVAC companies in DFW I got a 4th opinion not only was the body drastically lower to the tune of thousands the people the work and the whole process was beyond what I expected I will only use Cogburns for all my needs no hassle no gimmicks so sales jargan thank you to Brandon and Emmanuel for representing your company with honor grace and dignity you have earned a customer for life being in business 26 years they know how to do it right. We are a member of Cogburn's A/C - Our A/C went out Friday around 4pm - Hubs called the ans service and the Tech got right back with us and was at our house within 1 1/2 hrs Friday night - he advised it was the A/C Coil - so they went and obtained one Sat AM and came back and installed - we are so glad we have them as our A/C experts, they are great to work with and we are back up and running!!! Thank you all so much!!!!

Cogburn’s Heating and Air are some of the most professional and kindest people I’ve met in my life. Emanuel and Brandon replaced my hvac while I was at work, with my permission, and stayed until the entire system including furnace was finished. Even the owner Byron came to my house personally when doing the estimate for a new system. If this sounds like a paid review it’s only because they did THAT great of a job. I will never call another company for these issues. I would, and will, recommend Cogburn to anyone with any issues.

Cogburn's is top notch. I met with Ricky who walked me through the issues with my old ac/heating system. He was extremely professional and patient with me. Then I met with Byron, the owner, to discuss a new system and he is a straight shooter!! No over selling just the facts and what we need. This company is an A+!!

Awesome company to deal with, they inspected my system on Thursday, we determined to replace entire system. Crews showed up Friday morning and finished by 3 pm. Very professional and courteous workers. Will recommend to all my friends and family. Thank you Byron.
