What does a Hospital Care Attendant do? 🧼🐶

Hospital Care Attendants (HCAs) are the behind-the-scenes heroes who keep our hospital running safely, smoothly, and compassionately. At CARE, our HCAs help maintain cleanliness, manage supplies, and provide hands-on support for patient care.

Here’s what they do:

✅ Clean & Sanitize
HCAs follow hospital-approved infection prevention protocols to clean and disinfect all areas—cages, runs, wards, and more—keeping our environment safe for both patients and staff.

✅ Support Patient Care
They assist with basic patient handling, help feed animals, refill medications under direction, and keep a close eye on patient comfort and behavior—reporting anything unusual to the team.

✅ Stock & Flow
From managing laundry and waste disposal to restocking supplies, HCAs ensure the hospital stays fully functional and ready for anything.

✅ Team Player
They’re always on the move, prioritizing tasks, staying productive, and jumping in wherever needed to keep the day flowing efficiently.
