This very good quality French Boulle clock was made c1870 by Japy Freres a very well respected French clock making company who won many awards for there fine clockmaking skills, this particular clock is in its origonal condition, the case is vaneered in tortoise shell with heavey brass work around the edges of the case, the dial is porcoline & it strikes on the half & hour, it stands 16" high, i will be fully servicing the movement & sympatheticaly cleaning its case and brass work but wont over do it, after all the clock is probable 140 years old so should not look new or reproduced in any way, i will picture it again after a clean & service & it will be up for sale, its a very fine example & hard to find. for more information cal 07900600073.
