This is the Smiths Empire ships style clock, it has been completely dismantled ready to be cleaned, it will also be checked to see if it needs any bushing work, all pivots will be checked and then burnished all pivot holes will be pegged out to remove old dry oil residue, the main spring has been checked its OK so that will be cleaned and a smear of silicone grease to the inner edge of the cylinder and the top edge of the main spring, it will then be reassembled tested and regulated to achieve the best time keeping possible, we always leave clocks on test for 2 weeks this insures the clock is working as it should be.
