A Few Pictures of a Few Grandfather Clock Movements We have in For Restoration at the Moment, After we restore/repair the Clock Movement The Movement is put on test with the Dial Removed in order that we can check the clock movement is Striking Correctly and also other parts of the movement are running as they should, the clock movement is left on test this way for approx a week then the dial etc is fitted & again run for seven days or so, in this time the pendulum will be adjusted if needed for the very best time keeping possible. We will then replace the Dial Hands Etc & Repeat the Process, Repairing & Restoring Antique Clocks Can not be Rushed & attention to detail is very Important & must never ever be Rushed, Also due to the age of many of the Clocks they often have been repaired many times before, Attention must be payed to previouse Repairs making sure they are still in good order. It is Also Very important that the Customer Lets us Know About Any Faults they know of as this Saves Time & Cost in the Long Run.
