This Grandfather Clock movement Dates from C1770, it was made By Thomas Atkinson of Ormskirk, it's an 8 Day movement & has a brass Dial which is also having a sympathetic Clean but the customer does not want the chapter ring resilverd as he only remembers it ever being brass & he is in his mid 70s, the Case is Solid English Oak & everything looks to be right & all fits with the time & maker, it looks as though it has never had any work done , apart from being very dirty, clocks of this type & age usually spring back to life after some TLC & will probably run another 200 years or so, they where built by craftsmen to last.
