This is an Update on the 19th Century Skeleton Clock that had had a prety rough Life, as seen from the pics its coming along well, there has been a few head aches along the way mind you, 1 being the glue on the dial, so our best & Financial option was to fit a chapter ring, The next thing was the movement Frame & all Component parts where covered in what seemed Like Varnish ? Its not uncommon for movement Plates etc to have a thin coat of Lacquer to keep there luster but this bordered on applicatin with a trowel, so in 1 of the pics is a before & after of the clock front & Back plate, Then Finally the Base as you can see extensive work needed but the final result is not to bad, there are a few blemishes on close inspection but its pretty good considering what we started with & perfectly Exceptable, As an Old Clockmaker once Said to me You caint make a Silk Purse out of a Sows Ear, I reckon he Got that Right, The Next Pictures Will Be of The Completed Clock, ill probable put a Video on youtube.
