This is just a single Picture of the Joseph Finney 8 day Grandfather Clock Dial, the Chapter Ring has been refinished, this has got rid of the patchy look the patchy look is due to the brass showing through the Silver Finish, the Silver Finish is not a paint or a spray its a Chemical Reaction with the Silvering powder which does contain Silver in the form of Silver oxide, this causes the brass to react giving a silver colour after you get your desired level of colour you neutralise the reaction then a 3 thin coats of clear lacquer are applied to protect the chapter ring.
