LEROY PARIS C1840, Their where acctually two clock makers at the same time in paris making the same style of clocks, this acctualy ended up in a court battle to who was entitled to use the name LEROY, this clock is just marked Leroy & some are marked LEROY ET FILES , A very nice & rare ormolu mantal clock depicting a cherub about to catch a butterfly, the clock is brass guilded , the movement has been completly dismanteled cleaned reasembled & oiled, the brass has been sympathetically cleaned very carefully it strikes on the half hour and hour on a bell, it has a hand painted till depicting flowers below the dial, Its now ready for a new home & will make a fantastic centre piece to any room setting,
