A few Pictures of Some of the Clocks that have been Brought to us For Restoration, the first 2 Pictures are of the case belonging to a Triple Fusee Bracket Clock Dated C1850, the movement needed Extensive work including the Replacement of the Three main springs, The case just needed a Clean then a good quality wax applied & the Brass furniture & bezel polished. number 3 is a c1930s striking wall clock again a strip down service but the case needed French Polished to bring it back to life, the next three pictures are of a Gustav Becker wall Clock movement c1890 the final clock is American dated c1880 it has not been worked on yet but needs full restoration, We sympathetically Restore Antique Clocks including Cases Movements & Dials, our Plan is to keep the Clock as Original as we can, we don't over polish or use harsh Chemicals, elbow Grease & paying attention to detail is the key, We strive to get an Antique Clock looking still like an Antique Clock but in good condition making sure we don't over restore, Antique clock cases where mostly Finished with a semi shine leading over to a matte Finish sometimes with inlay either brass or exotic woods, when a case is refinished you should be able to see this, using the wrong stains & Lacquers masks detail that often took a craftsmen days to work his magic, So much Fine Work is lost through lack of knowledge & simply not caring about our horological past.
