This is a C1955 Bentime Striking mantal Clock, this holds Great Centimental Value to our Customer so they Where more than happy for us to fully Restore the Clock Movement case Dial Etc, the Clock to Start with was in Fair Condition so We had a good Template to Work With, the thing is to not over restore the Clock & This Takes Time & Skill & Good Attention to Detail & Thankfully i have another Experienced Clockmaker Who works with me, I Have mentioned Steve in Previous posts & i have to Say im Very Happy with his all round Clockmaking ability & he has turned into a Crucial Team player for Clock Repairs Merseyside & is a Good All Rounder & Handles most of the Case Work. Although we dont take on many of this style of clock due to the Fact we are more acustomed to the higher quality Antique Timepeices Such as Bracket Clocks Grandfather Clocks Railway Clocks, This is Mainly Due To The Higher Quality of The Movement Etc, We Will Always Consider any Mechanical Clock That are Complete & in Fair Condition & Have not been tampered with by un Qualified Persons, with all that Said the Quality of our c1950s Clocks in my opinion is far Superiour to our more modern day Mechanical Clock Movement that are often only fit for the bin after 30 years or Less in my opinion.
