This is the T Atkinson of Ormskirk Grandfather clock movement Cleaned & Ready for reassembly, it will have new Gut line fitted this is the cable that suspended the weights, we often change this as part of a Service, the Cat Gut on it looks like is been on the clock for a very long time and is very brittal, the movement does not look like it's ever been serviced but has cleaned up quite well considering it was probably made c1770, every pivot pinion & bushing holes will be inspected cleaned & polished before reassembly it will then be put on test for a week or so before I return it to the customer.
