This Fusee Clock movement dates from around 1900, it is of heavy Brass Construction, Its a Single Train Time Only Movement & has not had any Problems for over 20 Years, The Movement Belongs To a Railway Clock & the Clock Belongs to a Customer of ours that Collects Railway Memorabilia, the Clocks he brings to us are all of a similar type & also many of his fellow enthusiasts visit us from time to time, the Movement will be dismantled & cleaned & any Bushing work & pivot work will be done before its reassembled & lubricated also the main spring will be removed from the barrel & inspected & if need be will be Replaced, Thankfully 80% of mainsprings are still available of the Shelf but pretty much 80% of other parts need to be made but we are able to Make these parts in our workshops, Every Clock that comes to our workshop is inspected before a free quote is given on the work needed, every Clock is fully Serviced & by this we mean completely dismantled cleaned repaired & Lubricated not just an oil job & hope for the best approach , clock movements are then tested & regulated over a 14 day period & will not leave our workshop until they are working as they should be, this is our approach on every clock that comes to our workshop weather a Joseph Knibb Grandfather Clock or a Humble Mantel Clock & all that we ask our customers is to be very patient & the Final Results will Speak for Themselves.
