this Westminster Chime Modern Reproduction Bracket Clock Dates around 1995 so we would class this as a modern Mechanical Clock, the Clock Movement was Manufactured By Hermli West Germany & has What is Called a Floating Balance Rather than a Pendulum to Regulate The Movement, the good thing going for this type of modern mechanical movement is most of the parts are still available & even complete movements , the recommendation is that at a point in time say 30 years without service its probable more cost effective to replace the entire clock movement & the cost of doing this in comparison to a Full service replacing springs & barrels makes more sense as there is very little difference in the price & you have the peace of mind that everything is new, as said most of the parts & complete movements are at this point still available but as with many things Mechanical im sure things will discontinue & stock will run out, Although the movement has not got the Robust Quality of a Solid Brass Antique movement of the 19th Century, most Mechanical Clocks can be Repaired & Serviced .
