This very fine chronometer clock movement was made by Frodsham & Baker c1840, it needed extensive work apart from a service, it had been into another clock repair shop & apparently been serviced ? Anyway we done the job right , starting with a complete strip down and clean by hand, we then proceeded to bush some very worn pivot holes, then it was on to polishing the pivots, thankfully these were in good shape then finally a new gut line , this is the thing that suspends the waight, this apparently had been replaced but was to short ? It's now ready to be put back together & tested & regulated over 8 to 10 days, no quick fixes to do the job right.
